*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa FC ***

I've no problem with the season being a write off it it was leading to progress. However, there is no sign of any progress.

there is, defensively we are better (statically at least), we don't concede the types of goal that happened every game last season

the xGa is down considerably

I genuinely feel like we saw progress to what Frank wanted in probably late Nov to mid Dec. And then for whatever reason, bad luck, form or something else, it’s just fallen apart. There’s just no confidence now. And I don’t know that Frank’s particular foundations are worth spending a whole year on for no gain. The whole point was that we compete across all competitors and get the most out of the squad.

I can’t see how he hasn’t lost the players. Not that they’ve downed tools because I think they’re all probably good pros. But if you’re getting booed and abused every week for doing what’s being asked my the manager, you’re not going to have much faith in him. This is an absolute brickshow. Not all Frank’s fault but he’ll pay the price before anyone else.

Makes me laugh that there's no difference in performance whether they have or haven't downed tools.

Like when we lost to Brighton after the Europa apparently because the players were still drunk, but the level of performance was the same when sober.

Why? The havent got the players to be able to win a game. And Trump and Vance will make it a circus for him. Its a dead end and no win gig

I just dont see him as the type of a guy who agrees to coach a country to a World Cup then leave 5 months before it, unless...he is going through the motions and is not happy doing the job, or if the club makes him an offer far too good to turn down

Then again, i've been wrong a 1000 times before

Did you see a future Berbatov, Bale, Modric, BAE, and a top right back when Poch first joined? If you did, then you should become a scout
Berbatov was bloody Berbatov before he joined us. So was Modric, Bale was a rated as a top talent, Ekotto looked a good player immediately in my view and I said so at the time. Your comparisons don't really work mate...

Mason as interim until Poch returns in the summer.
Mason knows Poch, knows his methods and we'd have two windows to get players in for Poch.
Id go for it. Mason is good at unscrambling players and getting them passing and moving better. We saw that instantly in his last two caretaker stints

Make that offer that's far too good. Just say - come home, pick your own DoF, and have £200m. Deal

This is the first time I’ve ever knowingly gaffed off returning for the second half, instead preferring to have a few pints out of view of the pitch.

The game is already done so what’s the point? Ironically enough, a view that I sadly suspect the manager and players had before kick off.
