***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur Football Club vs AFC Bournemouth***

One of two things hasn’t happened.

Either Frank hasn’t prepared Spence to get out to Tavinier and show him on to his right. Or he has, and Spence hasn’t executed. It’s really basic stuff. Shouldn’t even need prep really.

Defensive solidity?? It was just basic defending that schoolboys are taught to do that was needed. Close down the crosser and pick up the men in the box. There were plenty of players back to do that, nothing to do with the system. If he can't coach players to do those basics...
are we going to keep changing the spacegoat on a week by week basis and flip between TF and the players? Palace, Brentford and a host of other matches we were absolutely fine defensively.

His reading of the game is very good so he often wins the ball back. But completely agree re: passing. And it’s costing us time and time again. But he’s not the only one Porro is another culprit when it comes to misplaced passes and Muani.
Bents is a massive liability in the middle of the park! Every game the opposition players run rings around him! He's virtually a spectator!

It’s so basic that no one over the age of 7 should need coaching to do it.

I’ll keep saying it…the players aren’t good enough.

A left footed left back might show them towards the line a bit more for both goals. Romero has got to do more on the first one as well.

Worryingly since going behind we looked not as good going forward.
Romero needs to come off as well.

I don't understand why only Romero has to do more? Why does VDV who had no defensive involvement get off Scott free?

I swear when we concede a goal and we only ever look at Romero as if VDV doesn't also exist to defend? That is actually his job.

You'd think it would be ideal for a right footed left back to close down crosses from a left footed winger.
