It's the least I'd expect, had a clear few weeks to explain his ideas now.

True. My worry is that it won't last, because this group still has a lot of individual errors in them.

Which will show - as with Sanchez's botched clearance just now and the resulting disorder/panic.

It's why a specialist DM is such a critical necessity - among other things, having one in there allows for a few more individual errors because there's a hard bastard covering.

Lamela is bang average so far.

Two chances to put players through and he’s held on to it

More interested in fouling

I like Lo Celso a bit deeper but I wonder if Ndombele could do better there. He’s shown he has a killer pass and could have a bit of a free role. Wouldn’t be as dogged as Lamela tho.

So frustrating how little Sissoko gets himself on the ball. It’s his biggest weakness for me, as I think his passing has improved quite a lot.

Reasonable start.

Anyone left still think Sanchez has got what it takes to play for a top team? Can’t pass, decision making ok at best, gets beaten by the long balls over the top, gets outmuscled easily. I struggle to see what he excels at other than being quick.
