Were in the exact same situation as we were in last season.

Except this season we will have the players we need before the season starts.

Pre-season means nothing!

FFs were not playing with a DM because parkers out and sandro is at the og - chill out did you honestly think this midfield would look solid against Valencia away? It's a gutted side midfield wise and the defence only looks shaky because of this

the problem remains that we'll be expecting Sandro to immediately fit in at Saudi Sportswashing Machine with almost no training beforehand.

It's not anyone's fault in particular, just the traditional Tottenham luck shining through.

Striker?


Whilst i think we'll get one before the window closes, my optimism of him being here before Saudi Sportswashing Machine is waning.

Fitness-wise, there's no problem. And if we were still managed by Harry, we would probably be fine. However ,we're playing a completely new tactical system, with a new manager and a new approach to pressing and defensive duties immediately in front of the high back line.

Expecting him to get all that in, what, a week? Seems rather hopeful to me.
 
Haven't seen the goal but I was saying ages ago that Jonas is the type of player we should be in for, he was something like 2m euros, for a striker with who was scoring for Brazil at the time. We need a random little punt like that, someone who can play when needed and is a competant footballer and perhaps exceed expectations from time to time
