I was going to post something very similar. Watching some of Kudu's highlights, I'm constantly reminded of Dembele's ability to get out of a tight spot, with the ball seemingly attached to his feet with elastic.Really interesting comparison to Dembele in the thread earlier. Close ball control, upper body strength, confidence to take several players on in tight spots, questionable end product. Dembele also had questions over his consistency and temperament and people should remember that Poch effectively froze him out of the first XI when he first arrived. In those situations it goes one of two ways - down the Dembele route - knuckle down and train and play back into contention OR down the N'Dombele route!
He also played under two new different managers, neither of whom seemed to play to exploit the strengths shown in his first season, so he’s hardly had a settled time.He racked up good numbers playing right wing, IMO the position where he is most dangerous and the position that I think he will primarily be used for us. Last season he was moved around across a number of positions and didn't have a great season.
Summer holidays started todayTbf probably just bored waiting for the school summer holidays
So our level is Solanke? That can't possibly be right. And even then they wouldn’t come as they’d have other suitors if they were that good already…
You’re confusing that with scoutingSo our level is Solanke? That can't possibly be right.
How can any team stand a chance if one of the regular top 6 can't even do better than him?

Solanke isn't a bad level, decent, hard working forward, just not elite. The problem he has is that he's always going to be compared to Kane.United, Arsenal, Chelsea would all have been better sides last season if they had Solanke. United is now looking at DCL, Vardy & Wilson as options, so Solanke doesn't seem to be a "bad level"

I like him, but don't love him, functional and hard working, but doesn't have the cutting edge to elevate us IMO. Thats not even comparing him to Kane, just not the instinctive side there, gets in right areas and good in air, always feel he wants abit too much time on ball to guarantee the outcome than get shots off at times

Was talking to a Hammers fan couple of years ago who actually believed that Kretinsky was going to buy the Taxpayers Stadium for themMay as well remove 2 of them tho. Only one is worth huge sums. But these paper valuatoins are pointless. Its based on what his companies are worth - which are probably highly leveraged. Its not like Kretinsky has 10b in the bank. Only really Saudis have those kinds of numbers in liquid cash. More money than they know what to do with.
Did my research and it seems he played a lot of left wing last season and it's not a role that he excels in. At least according to West Ham who watched a lot of him. The first season was as you say mostly him on the right which is where he played for Ajax as well.He racked up good numbers playing right wing, IMO the position where he is most dangerous and the position that I think he will primarily be used for us.
