Would love to see Ryan come on.
I thought Owen would do it early on in his career.not without its caveats, but think back to Lineker against Sweden, did anyone see the record being broken

By the end of this season Kane should be the starting striker, barring any freak occurrences. Will Rooney be benched though? I think we all know the answer to that.
Milner, Shelvey, Delph...midfield fudgeing dream team.
Just wish England weren't so boring. We could have a front 4 of Kane with Sterling, Rooney and Walcott behind, but no- too "risky".

I don't know how you can make such a prediction. Who's to say Kane's drought won't continue? I don't think it will but Rooney could score 30 goals for example between now and the summer.
not surprised to see a backlash against Rooney, I don't get the hate, he's not telling people he's anything his isn't, he's not stroppy when others score or take awards, he's a hard working team player that has scored a few goals
I've not seen any deification in the press so far so I assume those that have are reading rags or listening to no mark pundits on radio and TV, if so you only have yourself to blame
good luck to him

I think that much of the disappointment with Rooney is that he promised to be so much more at 17.
