I need a new paper

Have read the sun for years but I've always known its crap but love the page three, letters to the editor and football gossip. Had enough now though so what paper do you all read.

Plus I've just bought a new suit for work and want to look more posh on the train.

RACING POST you can get it all online but the is something romantic about buying it and sitting in a caf and searching the form while drinking a cup of tea.

I do not buy daily newspapers, i read them at the cab office when i pop in there. Online i read the daily mail, telegrapgh and guardian. The mail is good for stories that other papers are scared to print because it does not fit in with their politics even if they are going on in this country, the down side to the mail is it is obessed with celebrity and the transfer news is flimflam.

The telegrapgh is good for its articles on the economy and fits in with my right wing political beliefs, also has excellent cycling coverage the best of the daily papers and has a very good gardening section especailly on a saturday when i think it takes 3 trees to print it.

The guardian is good for stories you do not get in the other 2 papers, it is very left wing but it is good to get a different side to a story and i enjoy it, also has very good sports coverage and once a month a nice food section.

Do not pay for a paper they are all robbing bastards save that money and take the wife on a weekend away once a year.

no, read what i said again young man, you use the money you would spend on a newspaper for a weekend away, you would still have your holidays that you normally have.

For instance if you stopped smoking you could use that money to hire a big black male escort to fudge you in your bottom so you could see if its as good as in your dreams...;)

Have you still got the alfa buddy hows it doing?

Nah I got rid of it - I decided to buy fags instead.

Nah i didnt need a car. I drove it an hour or two a week for the price of about 500 quid a month (running costs insurance etc) and just wasnt worth it. i LOVED IT THO. It was my fudge buddy.

You got your jag?

yep xk drive it now and again but the wife has taken it over really, since i started working as a locksmith i use a van and drive the alfa when im cabbing which is rare these days. I lost more money on cars then i have on women or football.

Bought the daily mail for years and then realised its not all that bad and the world isnt going to end! So stopped buying that and fluctuate between the Guardian and the Times.

Subscribed to a broadsheet for 25 years and am delighted that I cancelled it earlier in the year.

Bad news gets roughly 12 X the coverage that good news gets. How will that make you feel; better or worse?

Love getting the Sunday times in. Read city am and evening standard. If I buy one on other days its usually the times or telegraph. Sun or daily star if im hungover and want something easy.

Read guardian website mainly to read all the comments but its too left wing for me.

i get FT online through work which is a great read, especially the opinions section.

also subscribe to the economist and occasionally buy the guardian / observer which are great for culture and sport. girlfriend has a kindle subscription for the times so read that whilst she's watching brick on tv.

i find the independent boring, telegraph is too stuffy old right wing for me, mail is an abomination and the tabloids / gutter press aren't even worth a mention

This must be the first person ever to change from the Daily Mail to the Guardian, right?

You should read the Telegraph - purely for the 'tut's you get from others when reading it on a busy tube.
