Huddlestone

so hudd only played a few games in hes last season but people say he was rubbish.
sandro been here for the last 2 season and has been poor and also had injury problems but hes treated like a GHod by spurs fans.

i do like sandro but hes meant to be the fitttest player in the league and always out

Players like Sandro will always have injury issues (see Wilson/Parker, any truly committed DM, due to the physicality of how they play/tackle), hence you need cover for him.

The real issue is why don't we play Capoue when Sandro is not available

I've been faffing about with some player radars, like those used on StatsBomb.com, and the figures posted by Huddlestone in 2009/10 are rather similar to those of Gerrard this season gone...

The Hudd of today probably couldn't repeat such feats after all the injury problems he's had in the years since, his figures for Hull are noticeably down on his heyday with Spurs, although with a fully fit Sandro alongside Hudd we might've had quite the midfield duo...

FWIW, a look at Huddlestone' midfield partnerships with Palacios and Livermore...

and our rather more balanced duos in 11/12 and 12/13...

Those stats make Sandro look like the perfect defensive midfielder.

It certainly was one heck of a campaign from Sandro, the only midfielders to post similar sets of figures this season gone were Jedinak and Matic.
