Harry Kane MBE

To be fair both were pre-covid.

Interestingly, in the full Neville chat he says he doesn't want to go abroad right now which rules out PSG. Levy won't sell to a English club this summer. I think this is MUCH more about a power play to get Levy to get his cheque book out. He mentions that 1 or 2 players can change a team. I think he still wants to win here.

depends on why he doesn't want to go abroad I guess, PSG is commutable, I'm sure they'd sort him a chopper

He was straight up asked the question of who in the PL would you score more goals if you were playing with. Kind of an obvious answer to a question that was going to be set up for exactly that reason!
Ah ok I’ve missed the context. Definitely spuriously asked by Sky though, looking to finagle City in by any means possible!

Are we getting to the point now where we all start to try to convince ourselves that the player isn't very good in the first place like we did when Walker, Berbatov, Robbie Keane, etc wanted to leave?
He certainly isnt very good at talking in interviews
Desperately trying to stay safe

No, Harry Kane is the real deal, but if he doesn't want to be here I don't want him here.
Watching the full interview he comes across better.
But very selfish and tbh deluded.
60-70 goals in English football.
As good as Messi and Ronaldo.
Go play nfl at 35.
Win the world Cup with England.
Theres setting targets, being ambitious, believing in yourself and all the rest of it but crikey.

60-70 goals in English football - Perhaps playing Deep in every competition that City will want to win (Without rotation) .... Not going to happen
As good as Messi and Ronaldo - I think he is referencing the fact that they push themselves to their limit. And arguably as a striker, he is the best in the world.
Go play nfl at 35 - Why Not as a kicker? Kickers play for a long time as they hardly ever get hit.
Win the world Cup with England - Why not we have a dam good team.

The reason he has got to the point that he has is because he sets himself those kind of targets. Nothing is ever enough, he wants to be better all the time. That’s why he’s one of the best in the world.

Kickers player for a long time because, they don't get hit, unlike Harry Kane who has been getting hit for 20 years plus by then. A bit arrogant to think you can walk into an elite sport specialist position at 35 in a spet you have never played before.
England, like spurs, have a good team on paper, and like spurs flatter to deceive.

I don't think he has the leg for an NFL kicker myself.

Not to mention that even kickers are specialists who have years of training and experience before they hit the NFL. Also, average career length isn't as long as you'd think, only 5/6 years, I expect it's quite boring with such a limited number of plays to worry about.

And how many of those targets will he hit?
So far at 28 he has hit none. So he needs to work bloody hard to get there.
Don’t you think that he would do better to set two realistic, achievable targets and work on them?.
Its reflected in the conversation about dropping deep. Neville asks, who decided that. Harry answers me, I'm good enough so I do it. He might well be right, but it doesn't mean it's the correct thing to do. It's wasted energy (and not great for the team imo), the wrong focus.
He's not superman, about time he realised that.
