Harry Kane MBE

Have you got a table of that, Statto? Just so we could compare to all the others listed in the goals/assists chart.

By the way, I appreciate all the stats you provide and I'm sure plenty of others here do as well. Just wanted to say that -- I'll get off your nuts now haha.

No real surprises in there.

His goals might not be as spectacular as Bale's goals in his last season for us, but the quality of Kane's finishing is top, top class - not to mention his close control and first touch, calmness and composure. Getting very excited watching this!

The biggest similarities with Bale for me is just that composure and the way he sets himself and finds his balance before shooting very consistently.

Kane's impact this season gives me hope that we will see other players coming through the youth ranks, in the near future, who can make a similar impact. Perhaps our youth system, the management of young players & our training facilities are all coming together to secure an excellent future for the club. The development of Bentaleb & Mason supports this thinking.

Could be, however, that we've just found a few gems & that we will be struggling for top quality after that.

I'm thinking that the former is true, especially with the likes of Pritchard and Onomah looking to make big impacts next season.

A subdued performance by his recent high standards (perhaps should've done better with that early chance which hit the post) but a 24th goal of the season pulls him level with Defoe' best at Spurs and keeps Kane on course to become our first 30 goal striker since Lineker.

Top scorers (league goals):

2014/15: Kane - 24 (14)
2012/13: Bale - 26 (21)
2009/10: Defoe - 24 (18)
1994/95: Klinsmann - 29 (20)
1992/93: Sheringham - 28 (21)
1991/92: Lineker - 35 (28)

Don't think he should have taken the pen, being the one that got fouled, but we finally got a ball that bounced our way. For both goals really.

Saw stats of his last five (?) penalties before he took this one. Think only one looked convincing, in the bottom left corner, there were a few misses and some not very well placed penalties. It's an area where he's not looking too convincing. Got a bit lucky yesterday, must've been some immense pressure to take that penalty though.

Strange isn't it considering he is a fantastic finisher. But penalties is about keeping your nerve in front of goal. The pen v West Brom was superb, but we were 2-0 up already, considerably less pressure. This boy will never shy away from it though. Amazing confidence and mental strength

Yep, saw the placement shot (image) and it wasn't very good. Don't think yesterday's penalty was that bad, their keeper had a good day against us.

Bit of a specialist job the penalty kick. Kane should have all the tools to become a very good taker though, might just need some more experience taking them at this level.

Agreed that him not shying away from the responsibility is great!

Could hardly blame if he was thinking about his minutes-per-goal stats.
