Vic had a shocker, but he didn't cause the initial problem, and nobody bothered to try and help him out after his mistake

He didn’t need to come out for the ball in the first place. But if you come for the ball you need to deal with. He got another chance and fudged it up again.

If VDV makes a mistake then you’ll call him out. You’ll never say VDV fudged up there but Vicario also did too. You’ll just say VDv fudged up.

he absolutely had to come for it, else the forward would have been in on goal, as VDV had completely lost track of, well, everything

Vic should have put the ball out of play, he had a shocker

All those basic errors are killing us. It would help us so much if we could avoid all those fudgeups and instead just string simple passes together and keep our heads calm. We are our own worst enemy at the moment.

But if VDV or Udogie made a mistake you wouldn’t caveat it and say Vicario didn’t help him there.

IMO I think the fans were desperate for a chance to blame Vic for another goal… I’m still a zed he hasnt been blamed any of the last 9 (although I did say the penalty was another he didn’t get near to) but this today was ALL on him imo.
He had the simplest option and took the hardest

And if you go back through the thread you’ll find I’ve praised him after his good performances against Monaco for example. Tonight was another step back.

But some fans just can’t own up when their favourite player messes up and have to bring other players into it.
