The priority should be to fix what's happening in front of the goalkeeper, such that he doesn't have to make so many saves. True, an excellent goalkeeper means the team can play more aggressively knowing there's a good chance the keeper stops any shot, but just letting other teams attack us for 60 minutes throughout a match is not the right mindset.
Replacing Vicario with another GK would be like trying to fix a leaking pipe by wrapping a towel around it. The proper thing to do is to fix the source of the issue instead of putting a bandage on it.

It would be nice if fans could sometimes just hold their hands up and say one of their favourites had a bad game without a caveat that x player fudged up as well. Vicario fudged up not once but twice, fluffing his lines with the original clearance/interception and then failing to kick the ball out.
He has too many weaknesses, his kicking, his inability to deal with set pieces, he doesn’t have a calm nature about him, constantly yells at his teammates.

Pales in comparison to Vicario’s two fudge ups in the space of 5 seconds. Don’t know why we’re even talking about VDV in the Vicario thread. It was Vicario who was more to blame for that goal than VDV.

the first mistake was VDV's, if he is positioned correctly Vicario doesn't need to get involved at all
