Fixture & Ticket News

Should be merged with fixture list thread anyway. Fulfills none of the criteria of a OMT.

For us supporters living abroad, this is horrible news...

I loved to see us play on the TV almost every week. I'll try and get tickets for 2-3 non-televised matches live then atleast :p

The only real non televised games will be the League Cup.

Seek the river on a matchday

Been reading stories about the authorities really cracking down on that stuff this year (yes, they say that every season, but still). So don't be surprised to find the rivers being dammed. Such a pain in the arse; ever since I left London I've only managed to get back to WHL a handful of times... I'd be more than happy to pay the club (or the premiership, or whoever) for an internet "season ticket" of some kind if it guaranteed me a decent stream of the games. It'd be money for old rope as far as they're concerned, and it's not like it would reduce matchday income for the club (believe me, I'd be at every home game and plenty of the away fixtures if it was physically possible).

Been saying this for a few years now. I know they cant, but its a shame we cant have a PPV option for all Premiership games.
Then if you cant make a match, you pay say £5 or £10 for instance on a specialist channel to see it live in your own front room.

They could learn a lot from the NFL - for £100 I can watch all matches (except those being shown on Sky) whenever I want.

They can also learn a lot but not following the NFL/NHL etc with their ridiculous blackout restrictions.

Anyway, in Australia all 38 Premier League games are guaranteed to be on TV. Here in Canada, we'll get the majority of them I'm sure.

hate espn. would rather sky get all the fixtures so at least i dont have to fork out another £10 a month for some bricky inbred channel, even if it does mean sky get greater monopolisation.

Goal line technology given the Green Light. Premiership bound in 2013! About time if you ask me.

Emirates Marketing Project away now moved to a Sunday 1:30pm kick off. Does this mean it will make it slightly easier to get tickets as I really wanna go to that game?

I wish they would do away with the Saturday 12:45 and Sunday 1:30 kickoffs. And also the half 5 Saturday kickoff. Just have one game on tv 3pm Saturday, one game on Sunday, one on Monday! Less is more!

I disagree. I love having 5 games to watch on the weekend.

I think it's an overkill, but that's just me. Perhaps two games on a Sunday, but the atmosphere at the Saturday early kickoffs are always flat, even for a derby and it puts more pressure on fans to get to the games as you have to get up 3 hours earlier, not easy if you've gotta make a long trip up North for example.
