They were desperate apparently! They have sold out to the Chinese and lost their identity to some extent, looked to be in free fall.
So they have improved but as we saw not a match for any top 6 side in the EPL or Spain for that matter.

So is this actually a possibility? If we finish 4th and they win EL they go in ahead of 4th placed team? What if City win CL does their spot then go to 4th?

Heard so much BS about this it’s like the Bassong suspension!

No more than five teams can go through from the UK. So if sixth-placed Arsenal win the EL, and the fifth-placed team wins the CL (realistically, this is more likely to be Liverpool than City), then the fourth-placed team misses out.

Chelsea going out makes this scenario incredibly unlikely; Liverpool is surely going to finish in the top four.

Yes, you can see this being like last season.

1st time we finish above them in donkeys years, and we still dont get to brag, as they end up winning a trophy. No doubt it will happen again
 
Them beating CSKA aint a given, don't under-estimate how poor Arsenal are. And whilst Atletico are in this competition, Arsenal aint winning it.

2nd time, we did last season too.

As long as we finish top 4 we’ll have won exactly the same prize, CL qualification, nothing for them to brag about.

Ok cool, so if I understand it correctly it’s highly unlikely scenario? I mean Arsenal could win it but the only way we would then miss out is if Liverpool win the CL but finish 5th?
 
Atletico are the only team who will stop the Goons winning it. The rest are such low quality sides, Lazio or Leipzig might spring a surprise..

The UEFA cup is valid again, but only because it carries a CL place.

I’d rather win one through a strong league campaign than risk it all on one play off game in May.
