Going by the number of mistakes he started making just before going off he was clearly tiring. Was never going to last the 90 given he's been getting so few minutes anyway. He must have done something to Jose’s missus to get treated like this
That was very very odd subbing him tonight when he was playing well
i had the radio on briefly and they said something a flick for their goal???
Think you and a few others are looking for something that isn’t there. He had a good first half. He was fading second half. He hasn’t played much football which means there is a high chance he won’t be lasting a whole game. Jose wants to win the game, made the changes and we score two goals. If Jose really didn’t like him he wouldn’t give him a start in a quarter final in a competition he loves. We all love Dele and it seems some get more overly precious whenever he is taken off....He must have done something to Jose’s missus to get treated like this

Wel I saw much much more from him than Banjo shins for a start, but he was subbed tooThink you and a few others are looking for something that isn’t there. He had a good first half. Pretty much the Joe Cole issue. Jose isn't going to stand for the fancy flicks that don't come off and lead to danger. He is a safety conscious manager at the end of the day.

14 touches by then and 17 seconds from the time of the flick to them passing it all the way back to the keeper and going forward again
Yeah this.Which is reflected in the boredom we endure watching the team.
He is quite small and maybe blends into the crowdI can only assume that he can't see Moura from where he's sat
Can anyone?I can only assume that he can't see Moura from where he's sat
Yeah this.
Fair enough when you're managing the likes of Real Madrid and early Aramovich Chelsea who can buy the best players with little to no faults in their games and be able to bomb out the likes of De Bruyne and Salad because of the rough edges, but he would be wise to remember that we aren't going to be buying Kane and Son level players and should look at Lamela Moura and Bergwijn to see the level of attacking talent we usually end up with.
Someone posted earlier that outside of Son and Kane in the league our next highest goal scorers have 1 a piece... i think sacrifing a loose ball here and there for the potential of some added goals is a fair trade.
You make a valid point. Certainly against sides which sit back, I would prefer Dele to a Bergwyn or Lucas.
To be honest this reaction to the incident is worrying me somewhat about the mindset of the manager - i don't want our players to be scared of losing the ball, i want them taking risks when trying to attack and break down lesser, organised opponents, afterall there's X amount of players behind, supposedly drilled defensively, to clean up. Different argument in big games v rivals where every ball counts tho tbf
To be honest, I see where Jose is coming from. There was a particular counter attack which Dele wrecked. Kane on his left and Moura IIRC on his right. Dele spoilt that play.
