*** CL MD4 OMT Tottenham Hotspur v FC Copenhagen ***

One thing about Scarlett has made me look and think again more than any other...our captain singled him out in the fan Q&A as one of the players to watch at the club. He only named two, and Moore was the other. He works with him all the time. I thought his cameo tonight was really strong, here's hoping it gives his career with us new life. Yes, the pen would've been a nice thing for him, but he won it for us and he knows it. Richy is our 9 and is desperate for goals, so I was not surprised he took it.

For all the 'Richy's brick' etc, he smacked the bar with a brilliant header. The pen was poor but also a little unlucky. I would start Muani over him full stop, but I wouldn't clam Richy off like everyone is right now. Let's get the most we can from him before he leaves in the summer.
But what would that be? I hope he gets a purple patch again soon.

But he really hasn't done much since earlier on. Hasn't really pressed or harassed. He came on last night and had a chance to run at a defender and just jogged like he was knackered and the defender pushed it out for a throw in.

Im not sure if something else is going on with him again or just low in confidence but he can't continue to miss chances especially if we are in tight games. I am not sure he would score what Kolo missed (will never know) but I would have more confidence in Johnson scoring above him ( and I am a moaner of Johnson)

Richy had like 3 clear chances including a penatly. Soooooooooooo frustrating.

Muani looking better and better. Xavi salvaging himself - clearly shows he's a good player but needs to adapt to the EPL.

VDV on fire - property motivated after the Chelsea loss and his part in conceding the goal

Happy for Scarlett's introduction, maybe that's why TF left Tel out of CL line up.

A one-off to me and while I'm happy for the result, a better gauge of TF and the team's performance was the Chelsea game and the upcoming Man U one.
I really cant wait to see the back of him now. Jan window cant come soon enough, sick of seeing him rubbing his head or thumping the ground everytime he misses a chance

And that run-up for the penalty, I mean WTF are you doing? You hit it you clown

Decent result/decent performance Against a very average side, but you still have to put them away!

Hopefully continues to United.

The question is, does he need to change this line up?

What an amazing experience to witness live yesterday!
VDV's run was surreal to see when he started running, we were behind the Vicario's goal so saw it unfold from behind if you know what i mean.

Might be the best match experience myself and my son have had.

Great stuff. Well done Frank, well done Spurs!

Great moment to share with your son, in years to come you'll mention it often, an "I was there moment".

I just don't understand the penalty thing, any team I played for we knew the penalty taker and I would expect a professional team to be the same, it doesn't matter if its someones birthday or they are on a hattrick. Even the great Jimmy Greaves had to wait until Blanchflower retired to get his chance to take them.

We played against poor opposition.
They were awful, no better than some of the poorer Europa League teams we played last season and apparently those games didn't count so wouldn't read too much into this one but at least we moved and played forward with intent and hopefully this is a platform we can build from. The acid test will be Man U as they will actually press and will be a much better barometer of where our football is at.

As for Kudus, it's a fair question - you just don't get that interplay from him and there has been constant criticism about his slowness to release the ball and decision making in the final third from his West Ham days and nothing has changed in that regard since arriving here. Hopefully Frank can drill this into him because with defences often double marking him if he can release it early there are going to be big gaps in other areas we can potentially exploit....
