I think it helps if they at least win the leg as I think you get a point for just winning a game.
Never understood how it was supposed to be advantage England with two head to heads against German teams. Leverkusen were always knocking out West Ham and Arsenal-Bayern is 50/50 at best. Even if Liverpool hadn't fudged up, it would still be difficult.
Really needed at least Dortmund knocked out. City and Villa probably need to win the CL and conference to have any chance now unless Arse beat Bayern.

Bad result for the PL fifth place finisher getting into Champions League. Add in Leverkusen likely strolling it over West Ham and it won't matter if Arsenal beat Bayern. Or Villa beat... whomever.

It's 2pts for winning any game and 1pt for qualifying for the next round.
So even if West Ham and Liverpool are to go out it'll be handy if they can still win their respective games.
I'm not sure what happens to games that go to penalties?.
A disadvantage we have is we have to divide any points gain by 8 (7 for Germany)
