Champions League 22/23 - Round of 16: AC Milan

Not sure who I fancy - we've kind of played all the other big 12 Super League clubs in the last decade, except Athletico (who are in our pot anyway).

So maybe something like: Frankfurt, Napoli and Marseille (the Chris Waddle derby) would be good. New teams to see, but good old fashioned classic clubs too.

2/3 wished for/guessed right back in May

I fancy all 3 of those away days but will prioritise Lisbon > Marsielle > Frankfurt even though i went Benfica

Ohhh. Worst possible draw from pot 4, in terms of quality. Could be the group of death!

Marseille are merely decent. And fairly flakey. Two one-goal wins and a draw from three mediocre or dreadful opponents.

Great stadium, though. One I'd like to visit someday.

Turning to the serious side of CL, we need wins to maximize this season's point totals and boost our Super Soaraway UEFA Club Co-Efficient.

We're currently tied for 13th place, on 83 points, with RB Leipzig, three points up on Nor Flondon's comic corgies, Arfenal, who will have their snouts buried Fursday nights in Europa. Our silly flutter in Conference League last season only earned us five points (while Arfenal earned a solid nought from their one year Euro self-exile) and we both give up 21 points at the end of this season. You can be sure Arfenal will rack up Europa wins.

So a strong group stage full of wins will do us a world of good and help keep us well seeded until we eventually claim our rightful place in CL Pot 1.`

What's the away ticket allocation %? I think it's quite low - 5%?
If so, based on googling ground capacities, we're talking max ~2,500 for Frankfurt and Lisbon, and ~3,300 for Marseilles. Probably less available for us mere mortals once player families, sponsors etc. are dished out. Will just under 300 points be enough for any of these? Marseilles maybe. I'll miss the first one anyway due to holiday - sod's law that will most likely be the one I could have made. Need to hope we've qualified by the time of the third away fixture.

Eintracht Frankfurt off to a concerning start in the Boundersliga. Two ho-hum draws and a 6-1 smoking from Bayern to put them at the relegation line.

Sporting no great shakes either. Spanked 3-0 by Porto, gave up three one goal leads to draw Braga 3-3 and beat lowly Rio Ave 3-0, where Matheus Nunes scored before being transferred to Wolves.
