Carlos Vinicius

Nah. He is only 1.9m and therefore not b easty enough. Also looks very one footed ( left) from the videos I have seen - and didn't notice any headed goals. More a fox in the box type than a hunk of burning love . Still favour Wout.

Taller than Kane

For the money I’d got for Wout over any of the players we have been linked with

Wonder if this - and other very recent reports - are anything other than rehashing the story having picked it up through foreign press. Any of their own information to back this up.

Why do Benfica insist on these impossible clauses that we probably won't exercise?

I mean, this is marginally less ridiculous than the 55 million clause for Gedson, but I mean...he's a second-choice striker with one good season in the Liga NOS.

Work brings me into regular contact with an ardent Sporting fan. He's delighted to hear of CV's impending departure from Benfica.

A weird sort of endorsement for the player, but imagine our reaction to seeing Chelsea or Arsenal losing a promising young attacking talent. He's been on good goal-scoring form of late in Portugal and France:

His record before last season isn't great.
