We can't really replace him at the moment. Although to be fair we can't replace any of our first 11 at the moment without a drop.

Could not agree more, as you know i have always seen Davies as a very good player and always thought some of the stick he has been given by some of our fans has been unfair on him. One thing for sure he has become a fixture for Conte and has played well.

Yeah, I mean I know today's fixture is just a friendly but he could easily have kept Davies with the squad even if he didn't play him.
Pity the argentinian manager isn't so accommodating.

Very good news. Davies is key to how we play now imo. Hopefully he's ready for Sunday and as our fixture list decongestes he can keep playing every game. Him, Romero and Dier getting some rest at least this international break will hopefully help keep them all fit.

Playing his best football for us. Took a lot of stick, looked finished but hes really proving his worth. He went fudging nuts when we almost conceded immediately after going 2-1 up and loved seeing him go all Romero on their strikers at 4-1 up. Conte is really getting a tune out of him but Davies has always been a great pro for us.

Must have covered a lot of ground today, thought him, Doherty and royal, three players that are often not rated were very good today.
