We got 10 mil for winning the Europa. If we’d finished 6 places higher in the league we would’ve have got more than we did for winning in Bilbao. This is what it boils down to with the board. No ambition just financial aims

‘sexy’ wasn’t a thing before Levy
If we finished 6 places higher we wouldn't be in the champions league and would end up with a lot less overall. So no, it's not what it boiled down to. It boils down to whether the board believes he is the man to have us competing on more than one front. They don't believe he is, if you disagree and think he is that's fair enough.

Love or loath the decision, can we all just agree on one thing....

..... Winning a major trophy and sacking the manager is just very Spurs!
We knew what we were signing up to....COYS

Really? it's an extremely ballsy move

This is where I'm going to need to shut out the inevitable wave of statements, because people will fail to acknowledge anything.

The easy answer was to ride the inevitable, say he earned the shot at another season, spend another 120M on players the next guy may or may not want, then have to fire him 10-15 games in to next season.

This is a tough decision (again, regardless of if you agree), it's a club that has reviewed the season and made a call, and they will have to take a lot of brick for it, now, and unless incoming guy wins a trophy next season, there will be stupid comments then as well.

No decision is a decision as well, the club at least took ownership of it

Oh completely agree with all the above.
I was thinking about the comedy value of winning something big and sacking the guy that won it!
It was a bit tongue in cheek.
Another way of saying it is "winning the trophy and being 17th"😁

Statement is interesting - a different approach and a manager that can cope with all the competitions

Sounds like the club were not impressed with his squad management and completely binning the league
A manager that can cope with all the competitions - when has Frank shown this? Or the other reported one Silva? Would love us to go all out for Glasner, maybe with no Europe there could be a small chance.....

Done.

Right decision ultimately.

Now we need patience and togetherness.
Depends on the replacement. Can guarantee there will be none if it's Frank or Silva. There was none for Nuno, and he probably did a better job at Wolves than either of those two. It will come across as scraping a bottom-of-the barrel rando to lead us, and that never goes down well. Truth be told, it would have happened to Ange too, had that insane start not bought him some time.

If it's a big name, then there may be some patience. If it's Poch (big if), then we have a shot at a sustained period of patience.

Ange has shown he cant

Frank / Silva have not had the chance to show if they can or not, Frank did manage a 46 game season to some success.
