OMT ***Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United***

Don’t say that mate or the bellends on here will come for you! Can only say positive things about the men in white!

Hehe. Nah, I'm tinkled off, but honestly, we didn't create much in that half, Dele should've put away his big big chance, but apart from that we didn't create anything. We looked a bit afraid at times, in my opinion, like the occasion got to us or something (what fudging occasion?). United got at least 4 big chances and put away one of their's. Can't complain about them winning, really. We were the better team in the first half, but overall, they just created more chances than us, and seemed to want it more, unfortunately. Are we really the Harry Kane team? I don't think so, but we would've benefited from having him today, no doubt.

We should have easily got a draw and some may say that would have been a fair result, but Utd created decent chances in the final third something we lacked badly today without Kane. I can't honestly say we deserved much out of that game.

First half Sissoko and Aurier looked like they could link up well but all the play was too deep. Quite often Aurier was passing it backwards to Sissoko who then just played a safe sideways ball into central midfield around the edge of centre circle. Safe and boring football, not what we've seen from Spurs much over the last few years.
they were pressed well into that, i think mou saw them do that v madrid - manyoo pressed well across the pitch, we weren't afforded much time to pass and move, hence we looked rushed and sloppy

The only surprise is that Valencia didn't get a pen for his five.
Moss was awful, I can't believe there was only one booking. For 10 mins in the 2nd half it was open season on Dele.

I thought we'd cracked he mentality side of things. The last 2 2nd halves have proved otherwise. Would love us to go on a run in 'big' games. We're so u reliable in them.

Twice in the last two years we've gone to Old Trafford, and twice we have been well-beaten.

Second half, they dominated us. Got to most second balls, pounced on most of our extremely poor giveaways, and smartly took advantage of our doziness from a goal-kick to score.

We had *zero* good chances - including that scuffed Dele one. I don't even think we had a serious shot on target - the ones I remember were from 40 yards out. We were utterly marshalled, and looked utterly clueless.

Poch was out-managed and out-thought by Mourinho in that second half. Still have no idea why Sanchez didn't play, and why we took Son off for Llorente when we could have played them both...but whatever Poch did today didn't work.

Sigh. This is why I want us to focus on the eminently winnable cups when folks dream and gurn about league titles and Champions Leagues - this is where we are, and where we will be for many years yet.

We have to stay switched on for ninety minutes, better in every challenge, every second ball and every second just to stay ahead of our nearest rivals. And we need a fully fit squad, all the time, every time. The quality gap between us and our rivals allows for nothing else. And that's humanly impossible - we will never be able to be switched on all the time in every game throughout the season. And we will never go without *Any* injuries - our medical personnel are not Chelsea's, and we are even specialists in turning simple hip injuries into 12-month nightmares. So, we will lose games like this, and lose points like this.

Until we have a squad capable of winning the league - a f*cking *squad*, 25 players of world-class quality costing lots and lots of money, this will keep happening. But we can win the cups. We *should* win the cups. Our route to success in this interim period consists of winning the f*cking cups.

But no, we're far too good for that now, apparently. Despite falling apart without Kane, we're apparently so great and glorious that the cups are beneath us - irrelevances that don't matter when compared to games like this at Old Trafford.

Well, guess what - we're not good enough to win games like this at Old Trafford. So what was the f*cking point of what we did midweek?

It really amazes me how one moment can skew the outlook of a whole game so dramatically - that finishes 0-0 and the opinions being posted wouldn't be anywhere near as negative toward the performance.

I'm tinkled off with the defending for the goal, we can't be switching off like that if we want to be at the top - made it so easy for them.

It was a tight game, but stats showed we actually had more shots and on target, more possession - but their attack was at a higher pace, balls played over, or out, to our fullbacks

yet the goal came down the middle through the normally very solid dier

bugger

Utd didn’t have their first XI out. Difference is they know how to win these games.
But they can bring on Martial, to change the game, and we have that donkey Rasiak. Sorry, Llorente. And unless it was injury or saving him for Wednesday I'd have kept Son on.
