***Tottenham versus West Ham****

Just watched highlights again. Sorry, at the end? Sanchez & Carroll? Penalty? Rubbish! He has an arm on him at most, but Carroll flies through the air like a man who has been swatted to the floor by a 20ft mallet. I'd have booked the clown shoe for simulation, because if you give pens for that level of contact there should be 8-10 per match. Serge? Never a first yellow but it was attrition and Oliver had warned him. The second challenge was silly, deserved the second yellow BUT he will learn, of that I am sure...

I watched game on mute, but my son told me the ex gooner though it was funny when Carroll barged Sanchez to the floor but it was all wrong when he repaid the compliment. The Tyler/Smith combo is the prime reason I have the tele on mute, these two just ooze distaste for us and are always looking for a negative against us.

Your reply to my original comment ended up looking like my comment [emoji6]...

I think Poch most certainly said something. Come on. He is a top coach!!!

What I think we have to remember is that in Aurier we have a wildling who is going to need taming. We are all getting used to each other in that regard. I bet it doesn't happen again...and I doubt today was about willful ignorance either, it was simply learning to play with your head a bit more...

He is also 3 years younger than Walker and new to this league

He got the second yellow 6 minutes after the first one. Not sure Poch could have had someone warm up and on the pitch in that span, even if he wanted to.
Spot on. Our very expensive, ex PSG, 24 year old full international full back can't last 6 minutes on a yellow? And it's Pochettino's fault?

In that case let's start sounding out clubs to sell Aurier in January. What about the games where we don't have Trippier on the bench. Or where we need our subs for other issues. Aurier needs to learn, and quickly. I'm sure Pochettino will try his best to facilitate that. And for me part of that is putting the responsibility for the red against West Ham squarely where it belongs. With Aurier.

You have to watch the matches on tv and possibly go to the games to see that skill of shin ball
Yeah I do watch Spurs games funnily enough. You know what else I watched? Match of the day singling out Sissoko for his contribution and improvement. Posters like you who can't bear to be positive about Sissoko because you've spent so long being overly critical of him are getting drowned out as more and more are recognising his positive performances. Keep maintaining your stance for all I care, you'll only embarrass yourself further....

Mmmm.......I'd still say it's odds against?

Lol scroll up and read my posts ... i am not in denial.

Accepting average is fine for some. We have moved passed the days of zokora. If he performs good for us.

Embarrassing ok

Happy with the win but didn't enjoy the tensed finish. After leading 3-0, we got complacent and let West Ham back into the match. It proved almost costly as they grew in confidence after the red card to Aurier. Fortunately for us they ran out of time. It would have been unforgivable if we had end up 3-3 after leading 3-0. Despite the tensed finish, glad we have won away at West Ham for the first time in 3 years. Amazingly, we have also won 3 away matches at the start of the season for the first time in PL era.

Credit to Kane and Eriksen for the goals. With his 2 goals, Kane has now scored 7 goals in 6 games against West Ham. Kane was unlucky not to score the hattrick as he hit the post 2 times in the 2nd half. Eriksen has now scored 33 goals for us to become the Denmark player with most goals in the PL. Alli did well to assist the goal for Kane but had a largely poor match, wasting 2 or 3 goal scoring chances.

I think our midfield had a mixed match, only playing well in patches. We really missed Wanyama and Dembele. Sissoko had another mediocre match. Our midfield became worse after Eriksen was replaced by Winks in the second half.

Really disappointed with the defence for the way we conceded both the goals. Felt the defenders were too ambitious as they joined our attack too much. It almost proved to be costly for us. Hope we will learn to be more alert the next time.

It is great to win all our 3 away matches so far. Wish we can start winning at Wembley as well. Let's hope this win will boost our luck to go on a winning run.

At what point do West Ham fans take stock and realise we don’t view them as a rival and see them as nothing more than a complete joke? Crap team, crap owners, crap stadium, crap history and nasty, muggy fans. You would think they would be embarrassed that whilst they view us as their biggest scalp, they will never be higher than our 3rd biggest rival.

Sissoko was quietly impressive. He was a threat going forwards and imposed himself when defending. My only complaint was that his passing was very passive, he certainly went safety first far too often in the first half and missed a few good opportunities to set Alli and Kane away.

Every game is an away game this season.

I know what you mean and Wembley is never going to be WHL. But we have to lose the mindset of every game being like an away game. Wembley is our home this season whether we like it or not. It's up to us as fans to do our utmost to make it feel like home. Not easy at Wembley, granted but we shouldn't go into every game as if we are somehow on the back foot.
Positive thinking!!
