Despite all our current transfer activity we really could do with some pace out wide/driving forward (assuming NKD isn't going to be getting a lot of game time) - and, although slightly less critical, some trickery/creativity in CM. Pace is very important. I think we lag M City, M Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea on pace going forward.

Completely agree on this. Mane for Liverpool shows how much havoc this can wreck if you have the right player. They like it so much they have double up with Salah. You could see they really missed a beat when Mane was not playing.
I suppose the positive thing is we keep trying to buy wide players with some pace. But they are not working out for one reason or another. And it seems the prices for Forward players have gone through the roof this summer.

That would be my preference too. There's definitely a player in Janssen once he adapts to the pace of the league and rediscovers his confidence.

Yes! someone in the mould of Bale. Direct with pace and effective at making defences move and open up. Of course Bale is a pipe dream but that sort of player. Feels like with the way we are with young players we should have gone more in for Sessengon.

I'm looking for our team to address our glaring weakness ... pace! Like many have already said.
Walkers pace has been replaced with Aurier. However we won't be able to change our game plan if we need to effectively with our current signings.
