Davinson Sanchez

i thought it was almost level, but still you know what im trying to say. If it becomes a wage war then Spurs may back off and look elsewhere for someone who will come in at a lower wage level.

Yes, I get what you mean and agree we have to be careful to keep everyone (relatively) happy.

Reports on this one are all over the place anyway. From we have signed him to we have had a 40m bid rejected to we have just shown a bit of interest but nothing more at this stage.

difference being Dier cost 2 mill and this lad is going to cost 35 mill

huge price tag = whole different ball game

but this lad looks to have some important tools for the PL. Pace and strength. Good passing from the back too.

Alternatively once could argue that was a first choice central defender in a team with the equal best defense in the league and the other was a backup. If you expect us to buy a player that management rate and he is a first choice player for his club then he will not come cheap in this market and we just need to get use to it.

If we get him, and it is a big if, lets hope he matches his highlight reel

Given the cheatski result today, it wouldn't surprise me if they outbid us, or if Barca did. Good to have the ambition though

Chelsea are going to go on a massive transfer spree, that or have this run of good season bad season good season etc. Really odd club that thinks so short term, but then they do win things.

Just text my mate in dam about sanchez ... has heard the news that he is on his way out!

The chap is an Ajax "ultra". Nice bloke promise

Danny secretly let's his leg dangle to save a few bob. There are always cheaper alternatives no matter how brick they maybe.

He must love Chelsea for trumping us in the market only to go and sign the likes of dele on a bargain.

At some point we have to up our wage structure. Continue to be tight on transfers, but at least make ourselves a bit more competitive on the waste front. It's the only reason we would lose players (assuming the team continues in its current path on the pitch).

I know, I'm preaching to the choir, but it irks even me to see some of our players on the salaries they're at.

Too early?

Of all the potential transfers, this one really excites me. From what I have seen he looks like a player who will grow into a giant with us, and can already come in and supply cover at CB or RB. If we add Barkley to this plus one fast attacking player, we will be in EXCELLENT shape IMO...

Him, Barkley and Martial = us having a title winning squad? Not that I think we have a hope of the last player in that trio....
