Mighty Spurs vs. Emirates Marketing Project

Wanyama and Sissoko were impressive for me today. They were bought as squad players, but have stepped up in one of the biggest games of the season, I'd also have Wanyama as the MOTM.

My only concern from this is the tracking of the 3rd man runs. We saw it more towards the end when players were tiring, but with Wanyama as the stand alone DM, our two CM's ahead of him need to track the run of the player who is knocking it forward.

Very good game. We outplayed them in every single department. Wanyama is purchase of the season. We also looked far more mobile without Janssen. Good tactics by Poch. Solid game. I am proud of every single person on that pitch today in a Spurs jersey that said - Lamela should be flogged. He made some stupid plays and he should have let Son take the penalty.

Can't say that I've seen us play better than that against a top four side. We did not have a single poor player and everybody worked their sock off. The only down side was that penalty argument. Must say, as soon as Lamela took it, I had a feeling he would miss.

Considering we play away in Russia in midweek, that was an awesome defensive display.

To stop 100% Emirates Marketing Project winning was good
To beat 100% Emirates Marketing Project was excellent
To stop the best attacking team in the league scoring was outstanding.

Putting everything into context that was probably just as good if not better than the 4-1 win last season. Celtic and ourselves have shown the way to worry City- they dont like it up em!
And they dont half miss De Bruyne

Yep should have been Son's. A man bang in form, dont think he would have missed

Whew. Brilliant, just brilliant.

That's literally all I can say. Brilliant. We didn't let them get more than a sniff of goal, and nearly everyone was outstanding. Pressed like hounds from first to last, and found time to miss our customary chance (via a penalty) while still winning 2-0 against Pep's City. We outmuscled them, outfought them, outthought them and outplayed them.

Positives -

- Just f*cking everything.
- Wanyama was monstrously good, both on the ball and off it - City were scared to go within twenty yards of the guy at the end, because he'd get the ball, every time.
- The entire defense was superb, but special mentions have to go to Toby and Walker - they dominated their side and made Aguero and Silva look absolutely useless. Walker was bullishly strong and lightning quick on the counter, while Toby just utterly nullified Aguero, without disturbing a hair on his head.

Negatives -

- Go f*ck yourself, not today.

Take a bow, lads. Take a bow, Poch. This victory is yours. This day is ours - all of us, as one. Superb, competitive, endlessly brilliant from first to last. Keep this up and you may well win the league - but for today, we'll take just the one performance like this if it means games like today. ;)

People starting to take us seriously. Spurs have arrived!

Given the age of many of our players that was a very mature performance.

No doubt the OG helped settle the game.

Still things to build on. Better balls and movement into attack. More assurance both with movement and passes forward and we'd score for fun.
