***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea

Dembele wont get banned. Lamela wont get banned either. It will only be a fine. In addition, Ryan Mason needs some talking to - the quality of the team drops again once he enters. It is worrying! I much prefer Carroll to him at this stage.

You think Carroll would have done more than Mason yesterday in that kind of game?o_O

Dembele has been caught eye-gouging, however pathetic or brief it was. Serious fear there could be a far worse punishment coming his way along the lines of a hefty suspension rolled into next season. 10+ games.

that would be way out of sync with other bans, Torres only got three for the same thing, Terry only got four for racism, Suarez eight

I think it harks back to 1990-91 when Manure and Arsenal had that mass brawl...only one goalie i think wasn't involved.
Both teams suffered fines AND points deductions...Gooners still won the league though...

the FA gave us a points deduction in 1989 because the seats in the north stand were the wrong colour

any excuse when it's Spurs

Sometimes players lose their control.... all Spurs players watched Fabegas,Willian and Hazard on tv chipping away with a smirk on their faces, they didn't want us to win the title, with Hazard he be gone in the summer so he knew he could get away with anything he said.....so all the Spurs players saw those interviews they all thought were the feck were they all season and especially against Emirates Marketing Project and swansea a few weeks ago no where to be seen and because it us they decided to earn their money for a change......i could say what comes around goes around but i think chelski won't improve that much next season, they've got ageing squad,a new manager who can't speak english, players will be leaving and new ones coming in,they be the man ure of this season next year....

Not going waste any more time on those bricks any more....

Happy with a draw?
Actually, not really. Feels like a loss. A big one - I caught the game second half, saw we were 2-0 up but when cahill got one back, I feared the worst. So much energy and emotion wasted in the brawls around the pitch, but I think if Mason had scored, who knows.

We just gotta win v the saints, we must get second ffs.

We're just a bunch of thugs now apparently lol. We were definitely over the top, but I wouldn't go as far as our good Spurs supporting friend Adrian Durham went and call us a bunch of drunken thugs.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

A big change in our attitude from two years ago when a kick in the face from Balotelli or a face smash from Lescott led to barely a whimper from our players.
Pochettino has sent a message out to say come and play us and we wil try and out-football you, but try and maim us and we wont go down easily like pussies.

Long may it continue

I hope that you're right, rather than West Brom and Chelesa having figured out that the thing to do when we're winning a match comfortably is to wind us up and we lose the plot.

That also had background. Man Utd and Arsenal had previous with each other after a bit of brawl in an FA Cup match in 1988. Arsenal had also been involved in a couple of unsavoury incidents in 88/89 as well........I think Glenn roostererill got chinned by Paul Davis and got an 8 game ban.

Different doing it at this stage if the season though when pressure is huge

We have played teams all season trying tricks I'm sure but lately it has come to the boil and our players havent reacted well ... But they will learn

Oh yeah forgot about that; Arsenal really used to do some things that make last night tame in comparison....the trick is to tread the balance betwen skill/menace/drive/ability to 'mix it' that Fergie got his United teams to after Keane left

Thats exactly right and what struck me from Poch last night was this kind of talk of patience when he said "we have to feel these things" like he is saying our day will come and these lessons will be a memory when it does
