OMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs Borussia Dortmund - 2nd leg

Not conceding and scoring 3 for extra time, or scoring 4 would shatter us. I think we al know this tie is over and we clearly have a lot to play for in the league. Poch will be ruthless and pick a safe side.

Vorm
Trippier CCV Davies <-> Bentaleb
Mason, Carroll, Winks
Onomah, Chadli, Son?

not sure about Son.

I hate losing any game and I don't want to see us lie down for anyone. But, at this moment in time for our manager, our players, our club as a whole, winning the Bournemouth game is infinitely more important than attempting to overturn a 3-0 deficit against Dortmund.

Bournemouth run around alot, apparently even more than us! They're also currently on a good run, playing with confidence now their PL status is all but secured.

We need to progress beyond Thursday night football and if that means, playing a weaker team this Thursday evening then so be it.

I was hurt when we went down 3 zip. But pragmatism kicked in as it always does.
AND Bournemouth are much better than Villa.

Kompany and Otamendi off injured before half time. We don't need to play the first team on Thursday. Leicester may start drawing as the pressure mounts

I can't believe I'm saying this but i think we need to give it a go in the first half. If we score one or even two it is very much game on. As is always the case some rotation has to occur particularly with the full backs but Bournemouth at home isn't the worst game for Sunday. No travel to contend with. We have Alli, Eriksen, Lamela, Son, Chadli all fit for three positions behind Kane.

Giving up on a game against Dortmund just doesn't sit well with me. Win this and we have one hand on the trophy.

Surprise inclusion on the bench tomorrow along with Harrison??

Highly unlikely, think it's just something Poch likes to do occasionally. Harrison I thought had an outside chance of being on the bench but looks like it's going to be a full squad minus Dembele and Eriksen so probably not.

The kid with the big hair is u16 midfielder Nya Kirby.

My youtube scouting tells me he is a potential rival to Dele Alli's place for the rest of the title run in and Destroyer of Dortmund tomorrow night. After all if Atalanta U13 can't handle him what chance do Borussia Dortmund have?

While I agree, the time for playing our strong side was last week IMO. Bournemouth are sterner test than Villa and I think this game is gone. We cannot afford anything but a win on Sunday and we rarely scrape 1-0s like Leicester appear able to.

Thinking a game is gone at 0-3 with half still to play and home advantage is an extremely defeatist attitude and one which the likes of Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola (based on Juve's comeback tonight) and numerous other successful coaches wouldn't subscribe to. Its possible to score two goals in five minutes FFS. Get the crowd behind us and it's more than possible.

Realistic rather than defeatist. Ferguson was the master of rotation and prioritisation. I am not saying we should not try and you're right a miracle could happen; but I don't think we will or should play our strongest side as we are still in with a shout of the league and we have a must win game on Sunday.

I can't stand this "competition" and can't wait till we do get out of it but we shouldn't just play a reserve team, the Villa game was a stroll in the park for most of our players, not much angry was exerted compared to other games they would have played. Momentum is very important in sport, its not a tap you can just switch on and off, we need to give it a go against Dortmund, we're at home on sunday, there's no traveling involved, I want us to win and go out with our heads held high.
