Andros Townsend

"But with Mauricio Pochettino keen to free up space in his squad, the Tottenham manager has personally intervened to request that the club accepts a lower bid – understood to be somewhere in the middle of the two clubs’ valuations."
"But it is understood that Pochettino has been impressed with Townsend’s attitude since being frozen out of the first team picture and was keen to allow him to find another club as a goodwill gesture."

Well done Poch. Shows what power he now has at the club.

Agreed, but also well down to Andros for his attitude

Hate to see a local lad with talent go but I really am comfortable in the fact I trust Poch and his team.

Good luck Andros (just not against us!).

Perhaps, that's part of the compromise - he cannot play against us this season?

Would Saudi Sportswashing Machine agree to that considering that match might be pivotal to their PL survival? Not sure they would. The compromise is more than likely the extra 2mil or so above their initial bid.

According to Sherwood, Townsend will keep Saudi Sportswashing Machine up with all the games he will win them.

What a class act. I hope he gets himself in the England squad for the summer now. And along the way he drags Saudi Sportswashing Machine of out trouble so that they have nothing to play for come the last day of the season. He can celebrate us winning the League at St James Park like a fan.
Would he have played enough to get a medal himself if we did somehow manage to pull it off?

no matter your opinion on him as a player. I still beleive these last two months he would have been a decent option on the bench in certain games. I really dont understand why he has been frozen out to such a degree. If its true that his attitude has been good since then why has he not made a squad.

It feels to me like something stronger was said for the amount of action that has been taken since.

He does need to leave and if its 12m that is a decent amount for him.

2 appearances short to qualify.
Last year though the Premier League give Chelsea 40 medals even though only 19 of their players had made 5 or more appearances.
Apparently the likes of Mark Schwarzer got a medal.
