Poch has changed Carroll's game.
I watched Swansea games last season just to see how he got on.
He was the same Carroll, a tidy player that doesn't give the ball away.
Now today under Poch the fear is gone Poch doesnt care about us losing possession high up the pitch. He sees it as an opportunity to press them in their own half.
So Carroll is unleashed here. Spraying the ball around and trying things. It doesnt matter if they dont work out yet. Its his third start.
Watch him and he knows where he's playing it before he gets it. He's frequently taking just one touch on the ball.
Thats why we are playing with an amazing tempo today.

Other allis goal we haven't been great individually, but we've been immense as a team. How many Spurs teams in the past would have stopped trying after 30 mins and said this isn't our day.

Felt like one of those days, to be honest: thank whatever gods may be for the ol' Toby-Alli one-two goal, because otherwise we were running the risk of falling into an all-too-familiar pattern of dominating but not scoring.
Observations -
- Good game all-round, really - everyone did their jobs well, penned Everton in, and nicked the ball off them the few times they did get forward (a special mention here goes to Carroll, who retrieved the ball a surprising number of times for someone so slight - he uses positioning rather than heavy challenges to defend, and it's good to see).
- One way we could improve in the second half is getting more players into the box to support Kane when we attack: Kane spent most of the half labouring up front on his own, even as we put the ball into the box time and again with no one following up behind him. A few more players attacking the box more vigorously would alleviate our need to take long shots from outside the area.
- I usually get angry at former players upping their game against us, but I can't fault Lennon, to be honest. Good for the guy - after ten loyal years at the club, he was bundled out in what I still feel was a disrespectful, careless way, and I'm not particularly fussed that he got his goal and got the chance to prove a point to us. Didn't celebrate as well, which is something he didn't need to do after the way he left.

Eriksen can win this for us. He is due a clean strike on goal. I would move him into middle, Alli to left and Lamela to right. Alli will be able to make the run into the middle, also Coleman will be worried about that and stop him coming forward.
We have played well, now we need to work Howard more.
