Anyone remember that Bale chap?

If Bale signs for Chelsea I'm going to get so close to giving up on football. I hate Chelsea so much that I really can't tolerate the idea of Bale signing for them. Every time I'd see Chelsea & see Bale, I'd feel upset & angry. Surely Bale won't do that as a Spurs follower?

He could sign for anyone. He might be a bit of a Spurs fan at heart but make no mistake he does not have the same strength of feeling against Arsenal and certainly not Chelsea.

I've seen Mr Arsenal George Graham manage Spurs, I've seen Spurs captain Sol Campbell move to Arsenal. I've seen Adebayor score for Spurs after the horrific chants he had sung at him the season before. Nothing in football is impossible.

But that includes Gareth Bale resigning for Spurs because Real Madrid don't want to sell him to another club in Champions League and Daniel Levy willing to dig deep and take a punt on his wages :)

Have you seen the article about Chelsea having allocated a shirt number to Bale, number 9, and shirts having been printed with his name and number on the back? :(

I...
er...
could...

quite enjoy seeing how Jose would deploy him, Chelsea are setup to play to his strengths far more than Madrid currently are

This is referring to a dodgy website in Brazil. Who also sell Bale 2016 Madrid shirts....

Oh and you can also buy a Man United 2016 Falcao shirt.

If this had any influence on transfers when our new kits are announced id go to the Spurs store and buy a IBRAHIMOVIC 10 shirt :)

Hope this is right. I just know that some clubs have had a history of creating shirts with player names before the player has actually signed...I think Real Madrid were selling Bale shirts early & Barcelona were selling Suarez shirts early etc

They are not going to do that when they have Ronaldo.

Its not about having Ronaldo, its about their midfield pivot being able to feed either Ronaldo or Bale as quickly as possible, with Benzema making the run to pull defenders or be option. I actually thought they got the balance closer to right last season and both players (or all three) were able to be consistent threats.

this season, I actually haven't been as impressed (outside of a few games pre-Christmas) with the balance, not completely sold on Kroos/James as part of the system, to me it upset the balance, but what the fudge do I know.

Truth is, Bale is a weapon, should be used as such, and kudos to the kid for making the spain gig and showing he can help Madrid win brick, just hope he doesn't take too long to come back .. (would so love to see him in our colours again)

Think they looked more balanced with Alonso and DiMaria over Kroos and James. Suppose Kroos is slightly more a long term solution and so that makes some kind of sense, he'll probably continue to get better. DiMaria remains a strange one from a footballing perspective.

a lot of sense here

I disagree with his conclusion though, imo Madrid should change to suit Bale

That's a good well thought out article.

I don't think that RM should change for Bale however. Ronaldo is better than Bale and should rightly be the focal point of the team. Actually I can see Utd chancing their arm with a large bid for Bale this summer, but I'd be disappointed with Bale as a person if he quit RM so soon. He only has to look at his old Spurs compatriot Modric to see that adapting to RM takes time, and winning over the masses is possible.
