The Run-in...

Pool are flying high at the moment but I still think they are papering over cracks and will go on abit of a dodgy run before the end of the season.

agreed, only a matter of time, I'm aware they have played well on occasion recently but the games I've actually seen they have been pretty average and lucky to get the result, the fa cup could be a handy distraction, they have a couple of "big games" as well with the increased pressure that entails

It looks possible but it is very difficult, I think. To overtake ManCity, we need to win almost all our remaining matches and hope ManCity drop more points.
 
I'm redoing mine, this morning I had us getting another 24-27 points

after this afternoon I think we'll get, er, that + that, that game there, carry the one, er, 0 points, no more points
 
We've got 27 points left to play for, but I don't think we've got much left in the tank to go for those points.

I'm going for five wins, two draws and two losses from the last nine games. Seventeen points, puts us on 67. Decent total for Poch in his first season. Can't expect much better, really.

im sorry but even after that poor performance, just look at our remaining games, there are enough points and wins available to get at least 70 points, which come on would be a remarkable performance from this group of players

Probably win against Leicester (although we'll lose 5-0 if we play like we did today). Ditto Burnley away. Guaranteed, 100% assured loss against Tactics Tim at home. Win against Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Draw against Southampton away. Loss against City at home. Wins from the Stoke and Hull games, draw against Everton on the final day.

Not if we continue to perform as we did today. I think I'm not going to look that far ahead anymore. Instead, I'll look at each game, see what happens and then hope for the best. We might yet got top 4, we most likely won't but let's just focus on the next game & see what happens to our league position if we perform as well as we can over each of the remaining fixtures.

That's fine. We need to concentrate on beating Southampton to 6th.

They are our rivals this season. Next year we can think about the 'Wenger 3rd best losers' cup.

Think we are deluding ourselves if we still think 4th is still on. I would be more than happy with 6th again, even if it means another season in the purgatory... sorry the Europa League.

Pretty much. I echo Gutter Boy here, we need to finish above Southampton for...reasons. Beyond that, we're done.
