***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Swansea City OMT ***

Dembele and Stambouli were GHod subs because we were too light weight in mid field and could not get a foot on the ball. Dembele actually did something positive. I cannot believe it. How desperate are some of the Lamela lovers," he's been putting in tackles." Yeah two footed ones. He was lucky not to get sent off. Another jammy win. Not convinced by Poch at all.

we are obviously far fitter than we were 6 months ago, we've also shown glimpses of being a good possession side in recent weeks which is encouraging as we couldn't pass the salt back in August

I get the concern over some of the managers decisions and performances, but it's not going to change overnight after the shambles we've been through as a club the last couple of seasons.

Points on the board is all that matters for now, we have to hope that things can click into place as a work in progress. It's not hurting Man U to be playing 'poorly' yet winning games. And we are not on their level.

I'm over the moon we won, but am not blind to the fact that we are playing awful football at the moment. This coupled with some frankly baffling decisions by the manager has me (and obviously other posters) worried.

In terms of quality of football, this was one of the worst in terms of away games we've had for a while. We really had to dig in, but that's because Swansea are a quality side. It's incredibly unlikely we would have played them off the park today.

We play awful football at home (I put that down to the pitch, not Poch) but away we've been fairly decent, and we are getting results.

And we got that goal today largely in part because we were clearly fit enough to press right at the end of the pitch and force them into the mistake. A hallmark of the Poch system. Why are people ignoring this?

ben davies was excellent today: goal saving challenge and crucial assist for a last minute winner.

with davies and walker at full back we will hopefully get more solid as a consistent back four emerges.

we were lucky today, no doubt. it wasn't pretty and a bit of a smash and grab but we'll all take it.

Hope all the Bony fans noticed something, he's absolute **** in the air, loss aerial battles against our small midfield repeatedly ..

Maybe but I would swap him for Soldado in a heart beat, it was scary everytime the ball went near him I felt he was going to score or create something. At the other end of the pitch Soldado offered nothing.

Horrid conditions. Tough place to go. They have a form striker who caused us issues. Erikson proved why we kept him and sold Sig. Happy. COYS.

still really hope to start seeing some consistency and cohesion though as we move into the second half of the season.

there are still real areas of concern that need addressing, but that could turn into a positive if poch gets some poch-like players in!

Thinking the same after todays result. We have played 16 league games and on four occasions we have won late in a game its not a fluke anymore

Only questionable decision from Poch in this game was leaving Lamela on so long. Erik was not having a good game.

Otherwise his Dembele and Stambuli subs were good. Stambouli in particular - we improved when he came on, he put in tackles, showed some leadership. We got more of a platform in the game and could push on in the final 10 minutes. Thought this was key to our win, so Poch should actually get credit for this.

We did get lucky to an extent. For too long we didn't really defend well as a unit in this game, stood off Swansea, let runners go, didn't give enough protection to Davies (Lamela on the other hand DID HELP Walker out), Fazio/Verts lost Bony too often. But still - we stayed in the game and tightened up eventually. We didn't give up. We showed we were quite clinical with our chances. Kane was quality. Great winner from Eriksen. Not sure how all the negativity in this thread has bypassed these clear positives from today?

We showed a winning mentality today IMO. Man U were far worse last week against Soton yet everyone banged on about their winning mentality to grab the 3 points. Why should it be any different with Spurs? We grabbed a big 3 points, me personally I'm absolutely delighted. COYS

Right then.

I dont know about you lot, but I am over the f#cking moon with that win. Get in.

It's a shame to pick on any Spurs player, but Jesus tonight, Lamela is doing my head in, it just isnt going to happen is it?

These late winners are not good for the heart, but it's good to be the team scoring them and not conceding them. Now let's get on a roll continuing with Weds night please

Agreed on all points. I'm loving these late winners!

I do feel they paper over some cracks but in a way so what? We've picked up the 3 points away from home yet again. Lamela looked very poor today. Agree with Chich I really would like to see genuine width especially at home.

Great 3 points!

Another win away which is great but we looked on the rack for large points.

Felt we were disjointed and Bony completely dominated our centre halves and fazio struggled with his movement.

Davies looked solid and Bentelab looks like he is going to be a serious player for us.

Pleased but worried at the same time

We weathered the storm in the second half by having. Better defensive shape goal aside. We often had 2 lines of 4 behind the ball. Liked the dembele sub and he played where I would like him to play more behind Kane. His passing was better too. Some may call it a "lucky" I would say we ground out a great result in difficult conditions....oh what the hell Sack Loch Sack the board and take Lamela with them.

Agree but not on Bentaleb. Hope I'm wrong though.

Exactly. I don't overly rate Bony but the difference in quality and determination were stark. We need a striker like Bony who actually causes defences problems

Very pleased with the win and another great winner from Eriksen. Ground out the result against a decent side in tough conditions.

My moan would be that Soldado and Lamela again contributed very little, not exactly the first game this has happened. We really need to, at least, replace Soldado asap. I think we'd be a different side with a really quality striker in his place.

yep, but we know full well there are cracks and we have to tear the thing down and rebuild, it's good that we can keep it habitable whilst we get planning permission

Great to win with another late win, undeserved or not. We sniff the wins at around 90 mins and we are starting to believe we'll get them in these away games
