Re: General Transfer Discussion Thread

Rumours circulating that Arsenal have activated Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's release clause.

United fans boasting about Falcao joining because its Man Utd, no CL no problem, thick clams its because they are paying him £350k a week, he couldnt give a **** where he plays as long as he is paid

I love the whole lack of defensive cover that people still churn out. They play 5 at the ****ing back with a defensive midfielder.

I guess we will see. I think man utd have made superb signings and having LVG as manager as well, I'd be surprised if they didn't get top four.

wtf mate? top 4? the money they spent LVG has to be challenging for the title

As a club that earns its own money, I don't care if that figure was double that. I hope one day that would be us.

That is desperation mate, complete panic setting in that they may be on the verge of being out top 4 for a more sustained period.

Ajax have confirmed Daley Blind has completed his £13.8m move to Manchester United.

Is Ed Woodward's primary negotiation technique to just offer them more than they're asking for?

Speaking outside the west London club as they also look to finalise a £10million deal for Liverpool striker Borini, Redknapp said: “Sandro I signed at Tottenham and he was a fantastic player for me.

“He’s having a medical and I think everything is agreed with Tottenham so that one should happen.

“A deal for Borini is ongoing at the moment. The chairman is speaking to his people at the moment and we’re hoping that one will happen.”

QPR were also expected to sign former Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Diarra from Lokomotiv Moscow but reports emerged earlier on Monday that the deal had collapsed.

But Redknapp revealed it could still happen before the transfer deadline of 11pm.

“I think that one is still going on so we’ll see,” he said.

Diarra was in London at the weekend to finalise a transfer from Lokomotiv Moscow after agreement between the clubs was apparently reached.

Not talking about the panic/desperation of it.. saying that if two of those players were Cheilini and Hummels people would be saying totally different things.. but if these players are not available right now then you get them in the next window. I don't think people appreciate how hard it is to purchase defenders without spending 50m+ on one. Difference makers are few and far between

Surely with the stupid money they have been paying they couldve simply spunked £75m on a defender
