Di Matteo reverted to someone else's game plan with a load of experienced players schooled in that approach. That and he put ten men behind the ball on the way to fluking the Champions League.
 
Did anyone else hear Neil Custess on talksport, chief football correspondent in Manchester (a big Utd fan too)

He reckons Utd are waiting to see what happens with Ancelotti at Real before they make a decision
 
Despite a lot assuming TS is gone regardless, I've been of the stance for quite some time that if LVG isn't captured or someone of that calibre Tim will be in charge next season and the type of names being banded about now just emphasise my opinion. Levy has been burned quite a few times now with managerial appointments and I can easily see him being swayed towards keeping Tim when he sees the alternatives and I include the likes of Pochettino in that category....

it doesnt matter, fluke or not, they won the damn thing......and dont think it didnt take a lot of planning and preparation. He got it spot on, mentally and tactically. They dumped Barca in the semi, and beat Bayern in their own backyard. The team was going nowhere under AVB so it was a pretty remarkable turnaround, of course unfortunately for us.

give me example where Moyes has shown he can overcome the odds

well they will have to wait until after the CL final on 24th May then i guess. 1-0 up against Bayern, im sure Bale ,Benzema and Ronaldo will score at least once in Munich. Will Bayern score 3??? i doubt it

What is it about those names that you think makes them a worse option than one of the worst options in the whole world of football managers?

Why can the only two choices be the best or the worst? Surely an incremental improvement (my nan, a 7 year old girl who doesn't like football, etc) is better than no improvement?

I think that it was an achievement for Moyes to keep Everton where he did for as long as he did, although he went stale towards the end. I don't want Moyes. I don't want Di Matteo either.

Mate that's your opinion and thats fine, although I'd hope you don't genuinely believe one of the worst options in world football - he really isn't.

I'm looking at it from Levy's perspective, on the one hand he has Tim who has done a decent if not spectacular job with the potential and probability that he will improve the longer he is in the job as he learns and isn't going to be on a massive salary and has a one year contract to prove himself. On the other hand he could have a reject like Moyes, or another flamboyant foreign manager who says all the right things, is nice and flambouyant and promises to deliver results with the 'project'. Levy has been down this road quite a few times, heard it all before and six months to a year later contemplating sacking the guy with a hefty pay off.

I would be amazed if Levy isn't seriously considering Tim if LVG can't be done....

Di Matteo? I'd rather have saggy chops back, Chelsea winning the CL had very little to do with him tacticallyIMO
