Anyone seen the video of him taking a zenit training session? Looks good, I can't imagine him ever doing it at Spurs though.
 
do you have an alarm which goes off whenever someone says something positive about AVB KD? :lol:
 
He was/is a bit aloof but on the whole he seems like a decent guy and the other managers seem to get along with him. But as a manager I would go as far as saying he's a complete charlatan based on his career, so far I must stress. Robspur rightly pointed out how Liverpool have a system that is getting the most out of mediocre players like Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen to the extent that they really didn't miss Suarez during his ban.

Compare that to last season with us where the team revolved aroubd Bale so much that HE always had to score a screamer late on to get us out of trouble. After the way he performed at Chelsea it's quite staggering Levy have him the job in the first place.

you know what, AVB could have got more out of Bale last season.....we had the 3rd best player in the world and the majority of his goals were outrageous. Imagine if we played better football in the final third and created better chances, Bale would have got 10 plus goals more imo, some tap ins/easier finishes, and we would have got in the CL. Suarez isnt scoring worldies week in week out, the way Liverpool play means that there are plenty of run of the mill chances to finish off. So well done Rodgers

Reading this in your post I agreed and looked at whether he came from a rich background. His paternal great-uncle was a viscount!!

A far cry from 'Arry from the burdett estate :)
 
I wish him all the luck he can get at Zenit. Sure, his plans for us disintegrated towards the end, but not once did he ever misrepresent the club, the fans or the team. The textbook example of a committed professional. And he probably doesn't have a bank account named after his dog either.

I actually liked AVB when he was here but he really comes across as a bit of a **** in that video. First person/character that came into my head was Gordon Brittas.
