Was just watching countryfile on the BBC which seeing as we are so crap this season meaning I will not watch of the day is the only show I actually watch on the BBC.
Anyway it is probably on Iplayer so I recommend watching it, they did a bit on religious customs regarding meat. The Muslim guy came across quite well but the Jewish one wow bit extreme if you ask me.
So I have to say before hand I did not know enough about it, but most halal meat is actually stunned before being killed and the ones that are not stunned die within seconds. This is a lot different to what I thought where the animal had its throat slit and was left hung upside down to bleed out. Found it a little odd that they have to say a pray to it as if the sheep would be able to understand.
Did not realise that all Kosher meat had to be killed without being stunned, worth watching it was interesting and added information to a subject that needs light sharing on it.
Really enjoy the show the only thing worth watching on the BBC though that said I also enjoyed the show 37 days about world war 1.
