*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Hull City, Sunday 27th October***

Regardless as to what changes need to be made, playing against two banks of four is a biatch! Played with it and against it, doesn't matter who the opposition is, if everyone's concentration is 100% then you frustrate anyone as much as you won't.

Notice how it's only now that every neutral rates Hudd ](*,)

If teams sit deep we need to put Lennon right and Townsend left.

Stretch the play, get in behind the defence and cut it back for runners.

This much is obvious... why does AVB not see this?

Everything goes through the middle, like banging your head off a brick wall time and time and time and time and time again.

Genuine question, why are AVB's tactics so strange? Why do we compress the space, players continually driving into traffic and congestion?

....That's the kind of opportunity we desperately need to take advantage of, when someone's out of position.

Is this not exactly what he's just done?

Who is this commentator? I've heard him before and he's identikit to Tony effin Gale. That was a pen surely??

The ball has gone to the right post a couple of times and Azza isn't there. If we are playing Andros on the left then bring on Lamela please AVB

But it takes him hours to realise and he doesn't start with it.

And then lets Townsend cut inside every time... he is not playing on the left wing, just vaguely towards the left.

Jordinho - don't put the scores of other matches in this thread you utter buffoon

Is Lamela going to be the biggest flop in the history of football? 32 million for a young attacker, 0:0 at home to Hull and he's miles away from getting on.

Instead we have Townsend and Lennon. 32 fking million? I'd never heard of the guy before we signed him but wtf????

AVB has sorted us out defensively and now we can work on the attacking part of our game. I notice good runs not being spotted by the man with the ball and final passes being just off. These things will improve.

Do you ever have anything positive to say?

Is it? We all know the stigma attached to 442. 4231 and 433 are the "in" thing, 352 seems to be making a return though.

Yes, it is. Are you seriously suggesting that the manager selects a formation based on what is cool rather than what he thinks will be most effective? What about when we played 4-4-2 last season? Or were retro formations in fashion for a short period then.
