Etienne Capoue

Wish him a speedy recovery but a bit of a blessing, means Sandro can now just slot back in and it also might mean we see more Holtby playing central midfield if needed.

Sando----Holtby
------Eriksen-----

doesn't even look too bad if I am honest with you.

Shame on you

Losing a player to injury is never a blessing. Would much rather capoue and sandro were in competition for a starting place. lets hope Sandro doesn't get injured.

He will be missed. He adds superb depth. But a starter? Not for me. Sandro is better.

I'd qualify that and say Sandro was the better bet as we know what he can do. Capoue had made a promising start and its possible he could have been (or eventually be) better.

From a squad perspective, this is a position where we have strength so the impact of the injury will be less. Hopefully next season we will find out more about what we missed.

Sandro is younger, better positionally, better in the tackle and just an all round better player. Capoue has been a good signing though, he looked very good against the likes of Tbilsi and Swansea and I hope he can get even better after returning from injury.

Reminds me alot of N'Zonzi.

Fair enough. It's certainly a position we can take an injury more comfortably than anywhere else.

Sandro walked off the pitch with a ruptured cruciate, if Capoue was carried off with a bruised leg while breathing gas, I know who I'd rather be in the trenches with.

I wonder if it had occured moments previously. Remember when he was running with the ball and then just suddenly just hobbled to the floor with no one round him?
