It would wind me up no end. I cant imagine that this brick impresses anyone but it seems to have the fans approval etc (imagine if THFC 'courted' a player in that manner)

Sir Keith Mills mentioned a factor which I haven't considered in the Bale saga:

- The new stadium can only go ahead when £350m funding is secured. To do that, the club need to sell the naming rights. “We don’t have that in place and that’s an integral part of the financing,” says Mills. “Once we get that, it’ll open up the rest of the funding.”

Levy needs Bale to sell TH to the Middle East glory boys. Real Madrid are doing a fantastic marketing job for Tottenham, if we keep him.

I hope that's not the case because I like a bit of club passion in our behind the scenes staff and its a nice little dig back at the press and Marca (yes I actually class Marca as apart from even the scummiest of British press).

Let them WUM it up is what I say!

Its still there right now.

article in the independent today saying how the European commission have almost finished their investigation into state helping of Madrid and Barca. Was only meant to take a year but loads of Spanish were on the investigation with links to the clubs so its taken 4 years. Its likely tk conclude that they will have to change into plcs which will change their tax structure. Don't really understand the exact details.

Whatever their reasons are, it is really a wrong timing to take off Bale's photo now. You know that will only cause more speculation. They should have waited until Bale's future is confirmed.

Similiarly, it is not wise for anyone other than Levy and AVB to talk to the media about Bale. You know the media would twist their words to their liking. I think the media has twisted Spurs director Keith Mills's words to mean we cannot force Bale to stay. I don't think Mills was referring to Bale. The media probably asked him a general question about players wishing to go to big clubs like Real Madrid and then twisted his answer to mean he was referring to Bale's wish to go to Real Madrid.
