Gareth Bale

Re: Gareth Bale

Nope. That's not my point.
My point is whether they have enough cash in a form Levy wants IF he decides it's not worth holding him to his contract.

my point is that they will find the money and make a record bid to satisfy Levy because they are highly motivated to pay a record sum, for the reasons i gave

Re: Gareth Bale

If Ronaldo is wanting out then we should swap him.. For bale.

Pay him 150k a week.. and have Madrid subsidise the wages with a cash add on of 20m.. 4 years = 5m/year 96k, which would give Ron 250k a week.

;) Everyone happy.

I dont get these ridiculous amounts of money..250k...Ive hav'nt earned that in my life let alone a week..

Ronaldo is not worth that these days.....He coud'nt see Barca off...but Bale could....

Stay Stay ........................................................................................................Bale

Re: Gareth Bale

You know what, I've never bad mouthed Redknapp on here but Harry.......please fudge off and keep your comments to yourself.

Got to agree with you. I was disappointed with the way Redknapp handled certain things while he was at Spurs, but I nonetheless appreciated the fact that he finished in the top 4 twice in three seasons. That was a step up from where we were before he took over, no matter what his detractors say.

But this stuff he's talking now, about the inevitability of Bale ending up at Real Madrid this summer just smacks of sour grapes. Like so much of the Bale talk this summer, it's undignified and it's unprofessional. Redknapp should keep his mouth shut on the subject of Spurs and Gareth Bale.

If there was one thing I didn't like about him whilst our manager, this was it.

Ronaldo did the score the title winning goal (and winner in that match) at the Nou Camp though and scored the winner in the Copa Del Rey final against them.

I think he only has 2 years left on his contract and doesnt want to sign a new one so they are getting worried.

Ronaldo is worth any amount of money mate, more than a goal per game over multiple seasons, proven in multiple leagues, the guy is about as guaranteed as you will get.

Not his fault Madrid is a f$%king circus and buys stupid expense players in positions they don't need, and change managers so frequently there is no stability

Re: Gareth Bale

earlier in the summer when Paulinho was signed and asked was about Bale, he said that he had been told Bale wouldnt be sold

a month later and new signing Soldado was asked about Bale, and Soldado didnt mention anything about being told Bale would be staying ......in fact he said he saw Tottenham were having difficulties trying to keep him

things have changed? :-k

Yeah, the intensity of media speculation.

I fully agree with you. Hes unlucky Messi is around because otherwise he would be a 5 time world player of the year.

crazy to think Bale will be sold for more than him potentially.

Bale could be as good as him IMO. But not in the same team...

Re: Gareth Bale

Hearing on twitter that Bale hasn't travelled to Monaco and a £105m deal may have been agreed

You've gotta love a post starting with "Hearing that..."

This type of post is getting way too common. What does it mean? Context. Was it your mate that just told you in the playground, or Daniel Levy's barber, or your newsagent, or a random Twitter attention seeker, or Sky, or the Devil?

Re: Gareth Bale

I see Mr Redknapp has had to add his twopennyworth! Bet he's thinking how much he could have got out of it if he was still the boss

Transfer news: Gareth Bale will not travel with Tottenham to Monaco as he looks to complete Real Madrid move
The Welshman does not want to risk sustaining an injury amid negotiations over a world record transfer

Gareth Bale will not travel with the Tottenham team for tomorrow's match in Monaco as he looks to complete his move to Real Madrid.

Spurs are set to play at the Stade Louis II stadium tomorrow evening against Monaco as they prepare for the season ahead - but they must do so without their star player according to the Evening Standard.

Bale does not want to risk sustaining a serious injury by playing any part in the game.

The 24-year-old, who scored 26 goals for Andre Villas-Boas’ side last season, has sat out the last three friendlies due to a muscle strain. His only appearance in a Tottenham shirt during pre-season so far was against Swindon on July 16.

Bale has received more treatment on his injury at the training ground this week and will not feature against Monaco. He will not even travel with the squad to the principality.

It would seem preparing for the season ahead without their best player would make sense for Spurs, with a world record transfer to Real Madrid looking increasingly likely.

Bale reiterated his desire to quit White Hart Lane at a meeting with chairman Daniel Levy earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed today that talks to sign Bale were ongoing and the former Southampton player’s former manager at Spurs, Harry Redknapp, predicted Bale will be a “huge success” if he completes the move.

“You can’t ignore interest from Real Madrid and he’s probably dreamed of that as a little boy. It could happen but I’m not sure. If he goes there he would be a great success,” said Redknapp. “He can do everything, there’s nothing he can’t do, he’s an amazing player.”

Re: Gareth Bale

The thing is, this 'fake injury' wouldn't really help Real that much. What they are currently on course to get (well i don't believe it's happening but theoretically) is an unfit Gareth Bale.

Whilst if he was training and playing pre-season games he would be getting himself match fit and ready to play for whichever side he ended up playing for.

If he's that interested in playing for Real, then whether he had this fake injury or not doesn't make a jot of difference.

Re: Gareth Bale

It would be interesting to know whether Jan travelled to Monaco too seeing as he's injured. I would expect even those players out to support the team wherever they are.

Re: Gareth Bale

Ramon Calderon being wheeled out now by Sky.........I don't get why they are almost pressing to the point of no return for a player of his quality to leave our league. They seem almost excited by the prospect of him going and as for making a big point of asking Jamie and Harry for their opinions.......jesus wept.

did you ever consider that the fake injury is so that he doesnt have to play and potentially injure himself seriously and thus maybe put his move in jeopardy?....guess not
