Kyle Walker

Re: Kyle Walker to Chelsea

Would be a terrible sale. We need to be plugging the gaps in the squad, not creating more by selling established first teamers. We would never get someone with that lightning pace and as much potential.

Would be a bad move at any price.

Re: Kyle Walker to Chelsea

Can see the interest being legit. Mourinho's type of player. We should not sell imo. £30m+ if they really really want him. They've just signed a kit deal worth £300m so there is plenty of cash sloshing around.

But it will be good for Walker's confidence. He is a player. He is the real deal. Sometime you could see he was not 100% confident in games.

Re: Kyle Walker to Chelsea

I have not been a fan of Walker but under AVB I think he has improved a lot, I would like him to stay.

What? he has clearly regressed under AVB. The season gone past he was horrendous and the one before that he was young player of the year so GHod knows how he's improved a lot under AVB.

Re: Kyle Walker to Chelsea

I kind of know where this comes from. Walker and his mates have been boasting/winding-up about this around nightclubs/the 6-a-side circuit (which Walker still joins in) in Sheffield all summer.

I suspect the big money that has been put on it comes from people who think they've got an inside track from that.

This. Also anything over 15m I'd bite their arm off. The player with the least footballing brain in the entire first team. We can improve.

Re: Kyle Walker to Chelsea

I wouldn't sell at all, we know he has potential, it's down to AVB to get him to step up a level and for Walker to prove that.

I think he does not bomb forward as much now and chooses his runs a lot better, also he covers the CB's well, the last few games I was well impressed with him, so there :)

He is possibly the thickest ever player Ive seen with his decision making on the pitch almost ridiculous sometimes, do think he has bags of potentail though

Why didn't you mention this on GG before this thread was created?

Because I suspect they are on the wind up. They are pretty junevile - the sort of scallys who spend all day hanging around cine-world, nandos, goals and crap r'n'b clubs. It's easy to forget one is an England international.

I don't think there's any truth in it, I just think this is why the betting odds are behaving funny.

I think its all in his mind. If his head is right, he's Roberto Carlos, not right Justin Edinburgh. If AVB can get him psychologically in the right place, he can excel. When he has too much time to over think something on the pitch it can go wrong. If he had 100% confidence and just played using his instincts, he's a world beater.

One thing, he has the right work ethic and attitude, is married etc, and will only get better.
