OMT - Tottenham vs. Stoke

Great win boys. Showed some much needed 'balls' today. Support was excellent. Massive pressure on Arsenal now, but its Wigan or nothing if Saudi Sportswashing Machine win today. If the final game is a dead rubber Arsenal will stroll it.

Andre: "It was extremely difficult after going 1-0 down early on but we were patient and came back into the game positively. Today was about passing the ball and not giving it away and we did that fantastically. We knew what we had to do at half time and in the end we got what we deserved. Ade had a specific role to link up the play and to then be there in the box at the end to score the winner was great for him. It will go down to the last game now and hopefully we will be rewarded. We have achieved 69 points now, 72 would be a Premier League record for us - it shows how good our season has been."

Thought the ref did us a massive favour today. Most teams have a player who niggles the other side, who the supporters hate for example El hadji Diouff and the likes, but Stoke is full of them. Every one of their players are niggly bastards who constantly leave thier foot in and all the other off the ball wind ups like kicking the ball at Bale while he was down, and was it Shawcross who after leaving his foot in on Adebeyor "accidently" barged into him from behind and drew a reaction.

Bunch of tacos the lot of them, so glad we got the win

Just back from the Britannia

What a day. Great win. Absolutely immense away support, proud to be there.

Charlie Adam getting sent off made my f#ckin day. He got some real stick in that opening minute and looked like he was going to have the last laugh when he set up the goal (and didnt he enjoy it), but oh yes, we had the last laugh... and I absolutely bloody loved it

Yid army going mental when Adebayor scored, not quite up there with Eastlands 2010, but felt amazing. Still buzzing, going down to the last day, cant ask for much more, bar maybe Arsenal and Wigan drawing on Tues night (Sunderland would be safe as well then)

What do you expect he appointed George Graham and Christian Gross as managers.

Also his own lawyer agrued in Court that Sugar knows fudge all about football

"Mr Rampton told the jury that Sir Alan was never involved in the buying and selling of players and that he would explain to the court in his evidence today that he knows little about football."

Good match ruined by poor officials

Kevin Friend couln't wait to to book any Stoke players, the hand to pocket reaction time to reach for his cards was breathtaking

Just watched the game in a pub in Bangkok. General consensus among neutrals was that the ref was appalling. Just read the Guardian comments and every person there thinks we are the dirtiest team ever tograce the PL and want us relegated ASAP. I thought we were very hard done to today by the ref.

Kevin Friend you absolute corrupt bastard and anyone who tells me that it doesn't matter who the ref is when i post the ref thread please watch this clowns performance today.

Two clear penalties ignored (Huth and Walters were fouled), a missed booking on Dempsey, SEVERAL foul decisions went the wrong way and a red card that shouldn't have been. Quite frankly, this match should be investigated for corruption.

:ross:

At half-time they announced Stoke's all-time X1 based on fans votes

Gordon Banks in goal
Sir Stanley Matthews in midfield alongside the likes of Alan Hudson and Greenhoff, fair enough
Ryan Shawcross in defence.....
Ricardo Fuller upfront...........enough said. Great HT entertainment!

Oh yes, hats off to Clint Dempsey fantastic emotional celebration in front of the Yid Army when Ade scored, I'm liking him more and more by the match

Apparently, a couple of Stoke fans got married on the pitch at HT and our fans sang 'Does she take it up the arse' lol.

Shocking...

I have to say that one of the many bad things that can be said about Stoke under Pulis is that they don't seem to produce any good (semi-great) players. They've actually spent a considerable amount on transfer fees during his time there, but the closest they've come to producing a player good enough to be signed for a top side is Ryan Shawcross, who was signed from United anyway.

Compare that to some of the other smaller teams like Fulham, Wigan, Swansea and it's pretty dreadful.

So didnt see the game and had to sort of follow it via text messages

Did we deserve to win, who was our best player etc ???

Deserved win overall. The red card helped of course, but we were the better team up until the red card too. Stoke scored from their only shot on goal, disappointing defending from us, think it was Bale's man.

Dempsey scored a good goal and got a good assist, probably our best player. Dembele looked good too when he came on and created a couple of chances.

Lloris could have saved their goal, but it wasn't an outright mistake I think. Did well for the crosses, but his distribution was poor.

Bale came close a couple of times and looked dangerous.

Rest of the team did alright, but not much more. We kept trying, patiently and with belief, but there wasn't enough tempo or movement in my opinion.

10 away wins in a season for us, thats great going...

33 points won from losing positions, this for me shows how much more of a team we are these days under AVB

26 mins in and the thing that has struck me so far is just how much brick Bale got from the Stoke inbreds..

He is worth probably more than their whole team, its quite amusing really

Yes, we have that look of a team that is likely to get a goal in the last stage of the games where in some earlier seasons if we've been in need of a goal in the last 10-15 minutes I've almost always had that feeling that "it's not going to happen".
