What a taco. I assume Hudd stepped up because Ade wouldn't (being the striker first pen is his to refuse)
 
Ah well, really not bothered

We've had some dodgy line-ups this year and dodgy results - we drew loads of group games and scraped through the knockouts by the seat of our pants

Having Friedel play and not Lloris, Bale, Lennon, Sandro - I'm not at all surprised we didn't win away.

Time to focus on the real competition now, COYS.
 
I hate the fact that they are not bringing up Dawsons shocking touch for Verts sending off and are blaming Vert for it.
 
If we didnt get a sending off - we would have won that. We would have got a third.

Everything in that last ten mins was us until vert sending off.
 
The positive thing from this game is that we can focus on one goal now and at least know 100% who needs to go in the summer. Hudd and Ade are just trash taking up space. The likes of Naughton and Carroll are bottom 8 PL players that are pretend players. Too many players not good enough or with a loser mentality aswell like Daws or Parker. Big summer ahead.

I thought this too. Who knows, maybe Jan wouldn't have been sent off if he knew Lloris was rushing up to block Streller off and just left him to run. Maybe Lloris would have rushed out to block Salah on the first goal, and been more commanding on the second. Maybe Lloris would have saved a penalty.

There's no arguing that Brad deserved a run in the Europa League: he did. But the regrets at not playing Lloris will go on long, long after the regrets at fudging up in the first leg will.

I do agree that it is tough losing a penalty shoot out. I am still trying to get over when we lost the League Cup final, not sure I ever will. And don't even get me started on the Dutch national team......!!

You go and get them Steff! I left another forum mainly because of the stupid negativity surrounding the last few games of last season under Redknapp. AVB has done well this season and we should be proud of him, just like we could be proud of last season!
