Re: O/T Manager Sack Watch - Di Matteo gone

Be gutting to see a man who's done a lot for the 96, represent fans who couldn't give 60 seconds of silence to the same 96..

Re: O/T Manager Sack Watch - Di Matteo gone

With Chelsea`s money and their squad I dont think he would fail, it would be samba time for them.

He could not 'play' his media games at Chelski with the same effect as he has everywhere he's been.

What my favourite buttplug. Just when you think Chelski couldn't possibly be more of a joke club, they pull this brick out of the hat.

If it wasn't for the fact that they're rapidly destroying what little is left of the beautiful game, I'd laugh it off, but this is really just sad.

Chelsea are mad in the manager business but i never thought they would be mad enough to offer Redknapp the job there, He screwed up the biggest job he is ever likely to get and it will be all downhill for him now.

Agreed...but I still don't think he'd ever have taken it. England would've been a very different major job, again, a no-lose situation given what we haven't done since 66...

I think his ego would make him think he could succeed at any job he took on, and if it went wrong well he could do what he always does, put the blame on others.

He really thought he was in the running for the England job when in all honesty he was never in with a chance.

I think he would have taken it in a heartbeat. Solid pay day and plenty of resources available to him.

Say he is in line for the QPR job now, do you really not think he could get a job like that if he first took the Chelsea job and then got the sack after a year? I think he would walk into a job like that. Meanwhile a chance to actually win something in his career.

Re: O/T Manager Sack Watch - Di Matteo gone

Seriously though - is it gonna be a Guardiola battle for the moneyboys?

Re: O/T Manager Sack Watch - Di Matteo gone

Redknapp's destined for QPR

I agree. The Guardian reported yesterday that QPR had asked Hughes to resign but he refused. Fernandes is due into the country this weekend and he needs to sign off the pay off if they are to sack him.
