Exacly, we're just not playing our best players! AVB trying to show everyone hes the boss by making stupid decisions! Just like he did at Chelsea.

Hopefully the fact we arent playing United wont matter. Have to admit the last few games he had refereed us, which havent been at, or against Man U, he has been very competent, Bolton at home certainly springs to mind

Just caught the end of AVB's interview - can anyone sum up what he said?
On BAE, I think it's a good decision. BAE isn't really a good attacking full back. His strength is playing incisive passes to the men infront of him, not necessarily being that outlet himself. So him providing for Bale is perfect in a 4-4-2 where Bale is the main threat. When Benny has to provide it, he isn't as good. Walker should be good on the other side.

I really don't think that's it. He probably has a very specific idea on how he wants to play, and also on fitness. Maybe Ade isn't fit enough, and if he isn't, there could be a time where he is supposed to press, but it exposes our midfielders because he doesn't, and it leads to a goal. Everyone has to be up to speed.
Walker has been talking about playing this rapid tempo, it's new to the players and maybe Ade hasn't shown in training that he is quite there with it yet. AVB for sure needs, and wants to win. He wouldn't be picking Defoe if he didn't think he could get it.
I worry for him today though. The team will have confused a lot of fans and it increases the pressure on him.

I'd like to think his recent games for England will have him full of confidence, scored one and unlucky to have one chalked off. Think he will do well today.
As Mark says, with a debutant in goal for Reading, JD with his tendancy to shoot on sight could be just the guy for the job today. I'm pretty sure he will test the lad early doors
this sort of attitude just wreaks of looking for the negative.
