Mykhailo Mudryk

Not trying to be a dingdong, but Mudryk would need to score 135 goals in the next 5 years to match Timo Werner's output.

Players don't suddenly fix bad football intelligence or poor decision making at 25

Our best hope is this guy can hold his own as cover, and that's after the 2-3 months he will need to get match fit ..
But only 3 to match his total Tottenham output.

Mudyrk was still quite raw even before the ban so I imagine you'd have to add a degree of rust to that as well. Can he score 2 goals this season? Very possibly.

I'm not really expecting us to want to sign him next summer but he's here to do a job which is to offer cover and competition for the wide roles where we have injury and quality concerns. One little injury from Savio and we were playing Tel and Porro as our wing options. That's really just not good enough.

A few YouTube clips, the occasional matched watched and all of a sudden its a good transfer. Lets be real, no one wanted him before it happened and given some views on the German league I can't be taking Shaktar performance references from the same people.

Be honest here, it was a low ranking, last minute panic buy, thats fine, but lets stop kidding ourselves to the level some are.
Of course I make you right in this aspect. But he’s here now, and let’s see the positives from this.

We got a player who can probably shift tel further down the pecking order.

He’s played under RDZ and so they know each other from previous and not a shot in the dark.

The player himself if he has anything about him will be desperate to make an impact. His initial introduction to the fans seems to be positive and I am looking forward with hope.

He has ability let’s hope that he kicks on. It’s a win win situation as he’s on loan. That gives us a year to either nurture his talents or send him back with an upgrade ready in the market.

Some here have thrown their toys out as the alternatives have either gone elsewhere or stayed at their clubs.

It’s time to get back the team and anyone who puts on a shirt.

If you've 'seen nothing' then you've seen very little of him. Even if you just watched compilations of him in the Premier League he has done plenty of things - yes, compilations don't tell the whole story but he has shown himself to be a threat.

It's not exactly difficult to work out why RDZ would want him when you look at his attributes and what he has to pick from with the rest of our attackers....

The fact that he performed well in first game for pool suggests he needs someone pressing his buttons, pushing him - he can perform when its a big game. Which RDZ seems capable of. How are the drugs or lack of them a factor? How much is Mudryk's own confidence? From the clips you can see the potential there. Like the majority of the players in our squad there is skill and talent. It is all about who is going to settle now, who will get to a place where they have more time on the ball because they are calm in the zone?

Somehow RDZ needs to get his side bedded in. How do you fast track that???

One thing talked about during Postecoglous tenure was training at WHL at the stadium. It is a bit intimidating, as the atmosphere can change from loud to silence, quite intense to perform in that environment if youre lacking confidence. With our home form so woeful, would like this new team to train at the stadiium and feel totally at home. I don't think this team feels 'at home' on any pitch right now, how could it? So many new players and almost no rocks to build off.

yes thats why he was so frustrating...maybe rdz can coach him
on the other hand we lack an out and out speedy guy to stretch the play vertically. marmoush could be it but ideally should be starting from the flanks - mudryk would be excellent for this

also higher chance mudryk would regain match fitness without injuries, compared to kulu, madds and odobert
Definitely.
I suspect we'll see a fluid front three of Marmoush, Savio and Mudryk asap - a bit like RDZ Brighton, lots of runners, especially in the channels and one from CM to open teams with pace and movement.
I remember his Brighton team had this weird ability where the quality of the final ball didn't need to be perfect because the opportunity had been created by using and creating space and distance from the opposition.

Yes, it’s a combination of creating space by press baiting and then rehearsed moves to exploit the space that has been created.

I think it may be the case that when Mudryk has to think / improvise more, he may not be the best player. But his speed, balance and dribbling ability, pointed in the right space and told to deliver it into a consistent area each time, I can see him being really effective.

I trust De Zerbi ultimately. And I think there’s a real difference between someone like Dele (loads of injuries, looks physically broken and potentially mentally too long out of it to perform at the top level) where no top level club is willing to take the risk. And Mudryk, where it seems like he’s maintained his level and there’s a lot of people in the game saying they believe he can come back and perform.

Pretty sure that £75m fee will be negotiable.

It obviously will be. If he somehow proves to be worth over that, we get a good deal, but if he’s only been decent for us, enough for Chelsea to want to offload, I reckon we could get him much cheaper than 75.

His
Greenwood is a top player who happened to also tape his then girlfriend
Who he has made peace with and has kids with and so is of no business to anyone but those involved. Talk about burning people at the stake after a witch hunt.

It was not nice to see but they have moved on and so should others, especially those that have no ties, concerns or interests in that situation directly.

As it is a loan I won't need to learn how to pronounce his name properly, in this rapidly changing world I can't keep up with new names, titles or changing pronunciations he'll have to be "blonde bloke on wing" or "Russian winger"
