I don't know how you rate a striker at that age, to a degree their potential is guess work. Personally I'd have liked the club to loan him out again but c'est la vie....
Players refusing to move (as is there contracted right) Richi has turned down moves that didn't suit himThe quick sales of youth players is obviously in an attempt to chip away at balancing the books and get 100% profit in for a player. Does hint to struggling to offload other players a touch to me. Surely Richarlison could get a move with 1 year left? Not even seen him linked away.
I get the board backing RDZ (if this sale is among his calls) and celebrate it after years of the board hamstringing our coaches, but there’s an obvious danger to short term planning in football. I just hope there’s more than one voice that’s being listened to at board level. Levy for all his faults often turned to Pleat for advice, no idea who the ‘football’ opinion is anymore
As were the fans, who also wanted the club to back a manager. And here we are...De Zerbi seems to be clear that he wants the club to compete at the top. This is a consequence. He still seems willing to play young players - Mateus Fernandes is 22, after all. But he seems to want young players immediately ready to contribute, which is what Fernandes seems to be.
It's a shame, cos I liked the look of him.
But I can understand why.
Rebuilding a team, so limited space for the youngsters just now.
Get the players in for now, that will be the base for a few years, then get youngsters coming through.
MoanceptionYou love a moan against the moaners lol
Good lad.
If we get europe we'll need 4 club trained players for a full squad next season.
Put it this way, would you sign Richy? The quick sales of youth players is obviously in an attempt to chip away at balancing the books and get 100% profit in for a player. We don't have to have 4 club trained, it's just to get the full complement of a 25 man squad 8 must be homegrown and 4 of those club trained. If we get europe we'll need 4 club trained players for a full squad next season.
Do we not lose a non-HG spot for every vacant HG or AT spot?We don't have to have 4 club trained, it's just to get the full complement of a 25 man squad 8 must be homegrown and 4 of those club trained.
If we only have 7 for example we can only name a 24 man squad, if we only have 6 then we can only name a 23 man squad and so on and so on.

No, look at this way we are allowed a maximum of 17 none HG players. If you want to have more than a 17 man squad then the rest must be a mixture of club and association trained. We are not penalised beyond not having more than 17 players if we don't hit the quotas.Do we not lose a non-HG spot for every vacant HG or AT spot?
I think it is more just ensuring that players not yet good enough to play for us who may never be good enough to play for us can go and play elsewhere. The quick sales of youth players is obviously in an attempt to chip away at balancing the books and get 100% profit in for a player.
