The we are staying up thread

we need a new front three and AM at the very least next season if we want to make an immediate push for top 6.

yes we have lots recovering from injuries but my prediction is both maddision and kulu won't reach their previous highs, odobert is not ready for top 6 + europe.

Mate, there is a decent chance we could be in the Championship.

4 players with experience and quality. We have too many youths in our first team already and on average they aren't even as good as chelsea's.
That's the thing, the youth recruitment policy hasn't even really been picking the very best talents. Yes people will go overboard with the potential of Gray and Bergvall but they aren't actually that special if you really have a look around the world of football.

It's such a weird approach. We dot got the absolutely world class teenagers (fair enough, appeal wise) but then we don't go for the somewhat proven ones either. It's all very speculative but without ever feeling cohesive in what we are doing. Buying Tel whilst already having Odobert and Moore whilst not having staring quality guy for one of those 3 to actually compete with is nasty work.

At least Maddison should start v Everton. We clearly lack any creative edge without him on the pitch. I worry if we go a goal behind against Everton.
Agree, even if he can only last 45 minutes hopefully he can inspire a goal or two which will settle nerves and at least give us a great chance of not losing, bringing him on when we are chasing a game is a waste.

Not sure I can handle watching Sunday’s game. Might take the dog for an extended walk or the girls for ice cream and leaving my phone at home or in the car.

It continues to amaze me how much clubs are willing to pay for “potential”. Us included.

I’ve got a ticket. Trying to get to sleep at 1.00am this morning I resolved not to use it, and to leave my phone in the house while I went on a long dog walk.

I’ve now slightly revised my plan to getting to The Bricklayers 3 hours before the game and getting pis sed before taking my seat.

lol. A choice of two extremes, both designed to numb the senses.

And to think we choose this life…!!!

Way to make the bank holiday last longer and enjoy the sun
I was debating whether to give mine away
But then figured I can’t be the and luck charm so fudge it

I think we had better hope for Leeds to snatch a point. Our feeble players wont be able to handle the pressure, if Everton score first we are in big trouble
I just have this bad feeling either West Ham or Everton will get a late injury time penalty awarded by VAR that could determine who stays up and who goes down

We'll get the pen, miss it and the narrative will be how sexy is that, refs tried to help and you blew it.
