I've watched our team and it's obvious that with a forward who can occupy the centre backs and hold up the ball we'd be a better team.

We also put in a load of crosses with nobody in the 6 yard box.

We need a technically proficient striker for the system to work properly. Part of this includes holding the ball up. But it also involves controlling it, turning, making passes, being involved in intricate attacking triangles etc.

We don't need a big lump.

A striker that can score, hold the ball up, good passer, and get involved in intricate play? Not many strikers like that I can think of, maybe just your man at Bayern.
